Welcome to A Favorite Thing #41! Off we go on another adventure, visiting our blogging friends and sharing our favorite things.
Let’s look at some highlights from last week:
Lady Hawthorne, of Canterbury Cottage, shared her framed St. Nicholas with us. St. Nicholas was a cross stitch design and when it was finally finished, Lady Hawthorne found the perfect frame. Didn’t she do beautiful work?
Karen, of Karen’s Cottage and Castle, shared some lovely things, among them these beautiful pink roses from her garden. So pretty!
Sally Annie Magundy shared her beloved Georgie with us. Sally adopted him when he was 12 years old. Two months after adopting him, she found out he had inoperable cancer. He was supposed to live 3 – 4 more days. Six months later, he’s hanging in there. He’s happy. I love this story. Consider adopting an older dog. We all need to be loved.
This week I am sharing something simple. It’s been lacking a bit around here lately but boy, when it’s here, I revel in it.
Sunlight and a beautiful blue sky with fluffy clouds. Ah…..this makes me happy. After a week of endless, heavy rain, this particular photo brings a smile to my face.
Now it’s your turn!
You can link up anytime from this evening through Sunday. Make sure you enter the URL of your post. If you’re unsure how to do that, just click on your post title after you’ve published it and copy the information in your browser address window. Come back here, paste the URL into your link entry and there you go! If you have any problems, drop me an email and I’ll help you out. Please link back to this blog on your post. That way, those that read your post and are interested in reading more can do so.
One of my concerns about link parties is that the very reason for them has somewhat gone by the wayside. They’ve become so big and there are so many of them that many bloggers don’t take the time to visit any of the other participants. Link parties are a way to meet new bloggers and share with each other and the only way to do that is to visit each other. So, please, take some time to visit everyone over the next few days. No rush. Stop by, introduce yourself, and leave a comment. It’s the neighborly thing to do. It’s also nice if you leave a comment here, as well.
Have fun!

claudia I think that I am mis-placed and should live in the pacific northwest versus western pa. I love this rainy cooler weather :)

Such nice things everyone shares. A glimpse into the lives of ordinary lives bringing love and beauty into their spaces. I love this party. Thanks for hosting, and I hope you get some sunny skies and puffy clouds soon Claudia!

Thanks for hosting Claudia. I’ve been working on my garden every chance I get (between the rain and more rain).

Yeah, you had sun today!! Enjoy while it’s there.
We had sun, wind, clouds, dark clouds, showers, torrential rain, funnel clouds & now it’s sunny again but more stormy weather on its way!

That’s a beautiful sky! Glad you finally got some relief from the rain!

Blue skies nothing but blue skies.
Heavenly,

I would be very happy to trade you endless sunny days for some rain. We are well behind our water reserves and it will make it a tough summer for the farmers and a more dangerous fire season. Thanks for hosting Claudia!
Big Hugs,
Susan and Bentley

What delightful features, Claudia. It’s been too long since I’ve been able to link up. Happy to be back and look forward to visiting around.

Hi Claudia!
Oh! Thank you so much for sharing my Georgie and your kind words, so very dear of you.
I spilled water on my keyboard yesterday and I’m plunking away with one finger on the iPad. Argh! I don’t know if I’ll be able to join this week – If my keyboard dries out and comes back to life, I will. I will enjoy everyone’s favorite things though – which is one of my favorite things now.
What a gorgeous blue sky! They really do lift the spirit, don’t they?!
Happy weekend!

Claudia, I hear you on the rain! Luckily I have a HUGE transcribing project I’m working on so I had to be stuck indoors all week. So looking at the bright side, I guess the rain made it a bit easier to stay inside :) Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Good Morning Claudia, Aahh, you have made me smile with the lovely blue sky and the white fluffy clouds….just lovely.
You asked about why my husband and I were presented to Queen Elizabeth. It was because of my husband’s work. It really was one of the most memorable moments of our lives and it was truly an honour.
Have a lovely sunny weekend.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Tis true, Claudia, what you say about link parties. There appear to be hundreds and some bloggers link to most of them. I hope to be a little more discerning so that I can take the time to respond to what’s on the site to which I link. Thank you for hosting your party.

Love the feature of pink roses with the dainty tea set. Love your blue skies, too – we had a tremendous storm on Thursday and thankful for our blue skies today. Thanks for hostessing.

Oh my goodness Claudia,
Thank you sooo much for featuring my photo. I am very honoured! I am very ecstatic and am a beginning photographer and beginning blogger (since April 2013) and it is encouraging for me. I have been busy writing report cards this week and didn’t manage to link up with My Favourite Thing today. I do appreciate you featuring me. Thanks very much. Your opinion is important to me.
Take care,
Karen
