In the spirit of the season, I’m hosting a giveaway today. My pal, Judy, has generously offered to give away one of her wonderful pillows. If you don’t yet know Judy, you should. She has a very, very popular Etsy shop, 20 North Ora, and a blog with the same name.
She creates the most wonderful pillows and stockings from luscious fabrics, vintage and new. She crafts (check out her adorable bottle brush trees on wooden spools.) I’ve had my eye on that pillow in the center for a while. You know I love vintage embroidery. She sells some of her thrifting finds. There’s nothing that our Judy can’t do. Quite frankly, she has more energy in her little finger than I have in my whole body!
Not only that, Judy has the most generous of hearts. She is truly wonderful. She given me 3 out of the 4 Nisse I have in my collection:
The largest one in the center? She made it.
I rest my case.
Today, my friends, Judy is giving away this beautiful pillow:
It is 12 x 12 inches. The fabric is a reproduction of a vintage Christmas handkerchief. The back is finished in the same red and white polka dot as the cording.
Adorable. And perfect for the season.
Of course you’d like it! To enter, leave a comment on this post and tell me how you would use this in your Christmas decorating. That’s all. I’ll draw the winner’s name on Thursday, December 6th at 8:00 pm est. This giveaway is open to residents of the United States only.
By the way, Judy is having a big sale at her Etsy shop – every item, 20% off. Use the code CHRISTMASSALE2012.
Thanks so much, Judy!
Happy Tuesday.

Judy sure is talented. I would love that pretty vintage looking pillow and would put it center stage on my couch. Thanks to Judy and you for a great giveaway.
Mrs. Magpie says
She is so talented, Claudia. I will be sure to drop by her shop.
How would I use the pillow? I would use it in a tiny child’s chair I have. I think it is a wonderful accessory for a vintage house, and I would prominently display it. That being said, I would be tempted to send it to my sweet MIL who adores pillows. She has had some health issues she’s battling, and I think this would brighten her home. She would put it in her family room where all of her friends would admire it and where she would tell them that her DIL, a blogger, finds wonderful things for her from blogging friends (like you) and won this for her in a drawing. Since it’s Christmas, I think I would lean toward the second alternative if I were to win. Either way, it’s lovely, and you all are so sweet to give us all a chance to win.
XO,
Sheila

Thank you both for this giveaway…this pillow is completely adorable and would replace a very worn, clumpy one that has seen better days!
Donnamae says
Yes, Judy is talented! I have a child’s rocking chair that was my father’s, then mine, then my boys’! Maybe, maybe, someday it can be sat in by four generations! That’s where I would put the pillow! ;)
Kim c says
What a lovely pillow. I have been wanting to extend my Christmas decorating into our bedroom. I would use this pillow on our bed along with some of the quilts we inherited from my husbands mother.

Hi Claudia!
Well, isn’t that just as cute as can be??? I actually thought of my girl the second I saw it, so I’d give it to her… she’d LOVE it…

I would put this lovely pillow on my rocker by the front door. It deserves to be the first thing you see when you enter my house!

This is such a sweet giveaway! I just found Judy’s blog and shop a few months ago and her creativity (and energy) amazes me! The pillow is just darling…it reminds me of the handkerchiefs that Nana used to have hidden up her sleeve to swipe at runny noses! I need some pops of red in my life and in my family room where I’m just adding a little bit of Christmas.
Thanks so much, Claudia!
XO,
Jane
Trudy Mintun says
This is such a beautiful, and spirit filled pillow. Thank you for the opportunity to have it in my house.
I have decorated my guest room for Christmas in red and white. I have strung a garland that made across the windows. I have also put a checked red and white quilt on the bed. I have elves that I have had since I was a child laying on the bed. I think that they would love to rest their weary heads upon this pillow. I would move the elves and the pillow to my grandmother’s rocker that is also in the room. Too much red and white on the bed otherwise. But would look lovely and comforting on the chair. Plus, I know gramma would approve.
Nancy Brown says
Through many years my much loved mother-in-law presented me with many vintage linens at Christmas. This fabric brings back such fond memories of a woman who let me into her life, trusted me with her son and made me feel like her true daughter. I have just such a special place for this pillow. I would like to tell my grandchildren how their “great-nana” would have love it so.
Donna Krobock says
What a sweet tribute to your MIL Nancy Brown. I too had an amazing MIL that I think about daily. The greatest gift I gave her was the birth of our two girls. When the oldest was born she kept repeating ‘I can buy pink??’. I hope that you win and are able to share her story with your grandchildren.
bunny missbrenner says
That pillow is TDF! It would go lovely in my little breakfast nook being that my kitchen is accessorized in red. I also have a love for vintage fabric. And btw Claudia…happy belated Birthday~
Vanessa Bower says
I have been reading Judy’s blog for awhile now and I’m a visitor to her etsay shop too!
Oh to be the recipient of one of her fantastic pillow’s would be a dream come true. I would display it proudly on the red & white quilt in my bedroom.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter,
Vanessa

Cute, cute pillow!
If I were to win the pillow, it would be displayed on my old childhood rocker. Seems quite the appropriate place to me!
Debby Messner says
Hi Claudia. I would love to win one of her pillows. She is a dear dear person for sure.
Debby Messner says
Oops, forgot to say what I would do with it. I would put it in the rocking chair that I rocked all my children in. I supposed one could say that it was vintage, hah,
Martha says
Hi, Claudia, If I were to win this lovely pillow I’d send it to my mom. She’s really struggling with getting into the Christmas spirit this year, as she would have celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve. I think she’s moved from the denial phase of my dad’s passing into the grief stage and it’s hard to watch. She loves to collect vintage handkerchiefs so this would be a cheerful addition to her living room for a little holiday cheer!
You asked earlier this week about when people start decorating for Christmas–I used to be like you and decorate later in December, but that changed when the kids went to college. They insist on putting their own ornaments on the tree, so if it doesn’t go up Thanksgiving weekend I will have an undecorated tree until Dec. 23rd! I did put my Dickens Village up early this year so that my mother and sister could enjoy it when they visited over Thanksgiving.
Annette Tracy says
Your Nisse’s are so pretty, the start to a wonderful collection. The fabric on the pillow is so pretty. Definitely reminds me of my childhood. I’d put the pillow in a little chair my husband made for my daughter when she was little.
Sandra @Beneath this Roof, Within these Walls says
Judy’s blog is wonderful. She has the most amazing angel in her garden that she made from a piece of an old chair, and a stairway post!!! The pillow is beyond beautiful, but if I was blessed enough to win it, I would send it to my dear friend, Jan, who has her home decorated in red, white, and black. It would be a perfect gift for her, and she so deserves a bit of Christmas cheer!!!
Noelle says
Hello;
I would love to win this, I love to embroider and make things, but I haven’t done anything like that in years, but know how much work goes into something like this! I would begin my first collection of red and white things for Christmas with this pillow! Thanks for the giveway.. Noelle
Rita says
Love red and white. :) This pillow is just right and perfect for Christmas. I have an old fashioned looking hutch and I think this pretty pillow would look perfect to soften the look of it. Thank you for a chance to win.
Melanie says
What a gorgeous pillow! I’ve seen the items in Judy’s etsy shop and I’ve also seen some of the things she’s made via your blog and Brenda’s…if I was lucky enough to win this pillow, I’d simply use it on my bed. My bed desperately needs a holiday perk!
Marilyn says
I would use this little pillow to give as a gift to my beautiful daughter that lives in PA. She moved there to follow her heart and marry her beloved and she has settled into a new little house that they are renting. She loves pretty things like her Mother and I know she would just adore this :)) Marilyn

Oh what a delightful pillow! I have numerous old hankies that I have still yet to do anything with, and this so reminds me of some of those. It is such a holiday look pillow and would look great on my 1918 antique oak couch.
Thank you for the opportunity and thoroughly enjoy visiting your great blog site.
Sincerly, Julia D.
