Another rainy day here in the Hudson Valley. Both Don and I were so tired yesterday and a sort of grogginess was with us all day long. I’m sure it was a combination of being tired from the outdoor work the day before, allergies (in my case,) and rain.
Hopefully, we’ll feel a bit brighter today.
This photo was taken a while ago. There are more books on the shelves now. I love the light coming through the window.
Not much on the docket for today but some laundry and some dusting and some reading. I’ve read about 100 pages of A Line to KillΒ by Anthony Horowitz and as I have come to expect, it’s a keeper.
The trees have begun to leaf out. There are teeny tiny maple leaves everywhere. When I look out at the woods surrounding our property, I see some green, not as much as I’ll see when the trees are fully leafed out, but I’ll take this in the meantime.
I’m sitting here in my chair and right in front of me, under the music cabinet on which the girls live, are the stone doves. What am I thinking? I forgot that they live on the porch! Another item on my To Do list today.
Okay. Short but sweet, as I’ve been indoors and have not done anything very exciting.
Stay safe.
Happy Saturday.

You must be a fast reader or you set time aside to specifically read. I always feel when I read I should be doing some other chore in the house, because there is always something! I am kind of jealous of the rain you guys are getting. We really need it here. Looking forward to today because my daughter is taking me for a night away. Donβt we all miss our mothers on
Mothers Day. Take care!

I set time aside. Reading is important for my overall mood and for my mental health. It always has been. I’ve been lax about that in the recent past, but I decided to be rigorous about it instead. That doesn’t mean I have a set schedule, but I do make sure I read for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, with a little bit in bed at night. It’s made an enormous difference.
Stay safe, Deb.

I was without internet for a couple of days and I sure missed reading the blogs! I realized that they are a big part of my daily socialization! Thanks for posting, Claudia!
