Happy Pink Saturday! Please stop by Beverly’s blog to see a list of everyone participating.
This week I am sharing 2 quilts with you. One is vintage – found at an auction – and the other is one of the first quilts I made.
This is a section of the quilt I made. It is hanging on the wall and I didn’t want to take it down! I used 30’s reproduction fabrics. The solid color is mint green; there are a lot of different pinks in this quilt. I love 30’s fabrics. I pieced and hand quilted this quilt about 10 years ago.
This vintage quilt is very sweet. I love the old fabrics. It is worn and stained in some places. I bought it at an auction and have it folded in a basket that is in our upstairs hallway. I have another pink quilt that was made for me by my Grandmother that I will share another time.
Our Elsie May rose bush always has one last bloom period in September and October. Hello, sweet rose! See you again next spring!
Some of you may remember a vintage hatbox that I shared with you on one Pink Saturday. In that post, I mentioned a hat that I bought at the same time and some of you expressed interest in seeing the hat. If you scroll down one post, you’ll see the hat.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
