Buckets of Snow

December 27, 2010 at 2:09 pm by Claudia

Attention: a snow update from Mockingbird Hill Cottage:

I’d say we have a least 20 inches. Yikes. Today has been about shoveling. And shoveling. And shoveling.

I’m tired.

I am thrilled to say although we have snow, I did not have to shovel. Amen.

Well, you finally got a “Big Snow”, huh, sweetpea! LOL We’re supposed to get more tomorrow, but they haven’t been too accurate lately so we’ll see. Of course, hubs is wanting snow because then he can use his new snow blower again. Men…… ;-)

    Hi Claudia Sweetie…
What a wonderful share today. Snow and snow and snow. Oh my I bet you are exhausted, it makes me cold just to be looking at it. Yikes.

I don’t miss shoveling sweet one. I love living in the desert and so enjoy the warmth of the sun. We are expecting more rain on Wed. and Thurs though and I dread the rain.

Looks like the snow took over your birdbath and chairs and just made itself right at home there at MBHC.
You took some really great shots sweetie.

Happy New Year. Take some time to snuggle together and stay warm. I hope you have a fireplace.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Oh my goodness! I knew you all were going get dumped on big time..it’s beautiful though…Your bird bath looks like a cake stand with the way the snow stacked up. :-)I hope you don’t have to leave to go anywhere??

I’ve put up another post of our snow storm. We wound up with 9 inches..a bit more than the “dusting” that the weather had predicted originally. :0)

    Stay WARM!!

Drink some real hot chocolate (stirred with a peppermint stick), and don’t worry about shoveling.

Instead of digging in outdoors, just dig in inside your wonderful and cozy cottage (which I LOVE).

All joys and holiday cheer to you and yours,

Whew! Yep…. WHEW! Brrrr….. We’re supposed to get a dusting tomorrow…. Usually a smidge and gone here in the NW though. No shoveling for this chickie….if I can fall and break my leg in a dry garage no telling what kind of damage I could do in the snow!

    Stay warm and dry…

I am lucky and did not have to shovel the few inches we had. Snow is heavy and VERY hard work to remove from the walkways.

Actually dear one, my heart goes out to you thinking about the shoveling and all the hard work that goes with a major snowfall. Just be careful, stay warm, and stop to rest often. Wish I could pop over with a nice hot chocolate. The cottage looks adorable in the snow – how lucky we are to little in our comfy little yellow houses……….sending good wishes and all the best for the New Year.

    Hi Claudia,
The picture of your outdoor chairs looks so funny..like they have overstuffed cushions! We’ve done alot of shoveling out here as well (I’m also from NY) but this weekend we’re supposed to have temps in the 40’s. It’ll feel like spring (almost)! Happy New Year!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
