I have a collection of vintage egg cups that I love. They are mostly figural, decorated with little bunnies, ducks, and chicks. I never buy anything new; they have to be vintage and many of them were won on Ebay. I thought I’d share a few with you, because isn’t Easter the best time for egg cups? My impulse to collect these started with one single egg cup given to me by my dear godparents when I was a little girl. Sadly, one of my godparents, Nick, died this past year. This little cup was manufactured for Fannie Farmer as an Easter treat.
I hung onto this egg cup for years (I won’t say how many) until I read an article on collecting egg cups and realized that I could find more of these little gems. I bid on this rooster and chick egg cup in the middle of the night – I was determined to get it.
There are many more, but these are the most appropriate for Easter. Speaking of Easter Eggs, I was at it again:
I promise, that’s it with the fabric eggs – at least for this year.
