A day off today and I really, really need it. Still not feeling well, with the added gift of allergies gone haywire. It’s all very frustrating and that’s all I’m going to say about that.
Adrian: Because of his complications during the transplant, he was under anesthesia for over 7 hours and it took a long, long time for him to come out of it. I can’t imagine how worried Margaret must have been. He is no longer intubated, but he is in incredible pain. So the next few days will be very hard. Margaret sounds exhausted. I can’t imagine she’s slept much at all. But the heart is working, thank God.
The very first thing Don and I prayed for was the family of the donor. That’s the difficult thing about this; getting a new heart means there has been a tragic loss of life.
So we wait and try not to pester Margaret. Just one update a day. Don waited until I got home last night to text her. And we pray for our friend.
I am so ready to end these commutes into the city. I’m sure that my feelings about that are impacted by my being sick, but I am SICK OF THE COMMUTE. Half the time, I have to kill an hour or two in the Times Square area because I am there early because of the bus schedule. Or I have to kill time before I can go home for the same reason. And then there’s the bus ride itself. Anyway, commuting into NYC lost its appeal years ago.
One more day. That means I won’t post tomorrow as I have to get up at 5 am in order to get into the city in time for a 10:30 am run-through. Next week, probably on Monday, I’ll drive to the theater in New Jersey for a dress/tech run-through and hopefully, that will be IT. I will say that everyone who works for the Paper Mill Playhouse has been generous and kind and extremely helpful. What a wonderful organization!
You’re probably wondering where the fabric Easter eggs were this year.
Here you go:
Zoe always looks slightly worried.
I’ll probably leave the eggs there for a few more days.
Sorry that I am unable to reply to comments on some days. It will all get back to normal soon. Thanks for understanding.
Stay safe.
Happy Tuesday.
