More wren love:
Very, very busy.
He/she seems to stop around 10 am.
I saw more nest making activity early this morning, around 7 am, but that seems to have stopped. Maybe the nest is finished?
While I had the camera out, I grabbed a photo of this guy.
Robins must look like giants to a wee little wren!
I did my first clean-out of the big garden bed, as well as the bed right next to the porch. I’ll have to do more work, but the first ‘sweep’ is done. We’re heading into much cooler weather tomorrow. Today, we’ll reach 72 and then it rains tomorrow and the high only reaches 50 degrees on Monday! It’s been lovely, but in truth, it’s been a little too warm for this time of year.
Today, I am actually going to take it easy. I vowed to take every other day off this past week but I ended up doing some work outside nearly every day. I have a zoom meeting at noon with an actor friend of mine who has moved back to India. I’m going to help him with a Southern dialect for a reading he’s doing.
And then, some laundry, vacuuming, and my puzzle. This one is a New Yorker puzzle using Seurat’s famous “A Sunday Afternoon….” painting as its inspiration, so that means the entire cover is done in pointillism…dots. Difficult!
Something tells me I might keep doing puzzles, even through the spring. We’ll see.
Stay safe.
Happy Saturday!
