Cottage Home

July 13, 2009 at 9:08 am by Claudia

Remember the “Roses” sign from my giveaway? I also bought this sign – both of them were created by Rita. Where to put it? Right above my two side-by-side windows in the kitchen. Our living room and kitchen are really one big room. As you enter the front door, you can see straight back to this set of windows. I love the idea of being greeted by this sign.

Forgive the photo – I was shooting directly into the morning sunlight. You get the idea. I am finding new homes for many of the things I purchased in California. I’m also fluffing, rearranging, cleaning out closets and dresser drawers, thinking about painting some furniture…all the things that seem to happen when you’ve been away for a long time and see your home with ‘fresh’ eyes!

The dogs got a much-needed bath yesterday and today I am dealing with HAIR EVERYWHERE. Scout and Riley are both long-haired and they have tons of it. So I’m off to swiffer and vacuum.

Very cute sign! Isn’t fun sometimes to just putter around the house and fluff it up and add new things or move things around? I left something for you on my blog for you. Check out 7/13’s post! Have a wonderful day!!

I love the sign, very cute. I bet your babies are so happy to have their Mom home. Dad’s are great but there is nothing like a Mom, or an Aunt (like me!)

Claudia, love the sign. Just perfect for that window. I would’ve hung it there too. Perfect place. Thanks for sharing. Country Hugs, Sherry

Sounds like some domestic bliss going on there! I wish I could send Hagrid over there for a bath! Sounds like you’re settling in nicely– don’t you just love nesting?!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
