Current puzzle: Belle Epoque Paris and impressionist painters. I like it and it’s certainly engrossing, which is what I need.

I’m quite close to finishing The Ink Black Heart. As is the case with most books I really love, I’m reluctant to finish it too quickly. So I’m reading a chunk, then delaying any more reading for that day – except for a few minutes while waiting to fall asleep.

It rained all day yesterday and it’s still raining today. I realize the irony here, but we’ve had enough rain, thank you. During the drought, I never thought I’d be saying that again. It’s coldish, damp, and I’d like to see a bit of sun. Of course, I know we really have nothing to complain about given the devastation in Florida.

Gosh, my friends, I have nothing else to share. I can’t really get outside, I’m still resting my back, which is much better overall, but still needs some time with the heating pad each day, we can’t mow because it’s raining constantly, I’m reading and working on the puzzle and doing laundry and cleaning and vacuuming.

That’s it.

I plan on going in to see the show one more time on Sunday, but that could change to a preview later that week. I’ll have to see what the director prefers.

Stay safe.

Happy Wednesday.

The puzzle looks like fun! I’m staying with my Grands for the day as they are out of school for parent/teacher meetings and its going to be a great day for sure. Hugs!

Sorry you guys are getting so much rain. It’s feast or famine, isn’t it? Your puzzle looks intriguing. Time for Don to make his famous apple pie to warm up the kitchen and make it smell nice. Our Thanksgiving is Monday and I plan to make Don’s pie for dessert. Have a restful day. Hugs, Elaine

Well we got back from our wonderful trip to Sedona. I already miss sitting by the creek and listening to those sounds. Nothing like eating breakfast by the creek. The weather was absolutely perfect! No TV or phone was a much needed break, even more than we realized. Now I can start thinking about what to plant in the yard. I guess none of us can be satisfied. Wishing we had some of that rain that people are tired of. Have to get started on chores that didn’t get done while we were away. Take care!

Yes, we were desperate for rain during the summer, now we’re tired of it. Isn’t that alway how it goes?

But you had monsoon weather recently, right?

      Stay safe, Deb.

That puzzle does look fun…love the colors. And, I’m glad you found an interesting book to savor.

I had to chuckle when you said you have nothing else to share. That sounds exactly like us. Allowing my husband to recover from his hip replacement is important, involving daily exercises and walks, and weekly PT appointments. The good news…he’s coming along nicely, and I’m learning to appreciate the occasional trip to the food store. But the truth…not much is new here.

I hope the rain stops so you can get outside….I’m sure your yard is calling to you! ;)

Glad to hear your husband is doing well, Donnamae.

I guess having not a lot to say means things are relatively calm here. That’s a good thing.

      Stay safe!

That will be a fabulous puzzle!

Sometimes it’s good not to have much to share. Nothing great, sure. But nothing bad either, and I’ll take that!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
