The Easter Bunny: A Story in Pictures

April 23, 2011 at 2:13 pm by Claudia

It’s 1:43 in the afternoon here at MHC.

I’m still in my flannel pajamas. Don’t judge me. I worked very hard yesterday and it is cold, rainy and generally yucky today.

What mischief can I get into?  Hmmm…isn’t tomorrow Easter? When the Easter Bunny comes to visit? Do you think she will come here to Mockingbird Hill Cottage?

This particular Easter Bunny looks unhappy.
(I’m sensing some dissatisfaction.)
Oh, I’m sorry.
Am I not supposed to wake you up for my “selfish picture taking whim?”
(Yes, she said that. I’m quoting her.)
If looks could kill.
Well, well, well! Looks like someone has had a change of heart.
(She followed me into the den.)
Can you give me something more, Miss Scoutie Easter Bunny?
Ah, there’s that million dollar smile!
She’s emotionally and physically spent. She had to crawl in the ‘tunnel’ under my legs and take a nap.

May the Easter Bunny bring you lots of goodies!

Oh my! Every shot of her is hysterical……but my favorite it the one ‘If looks could kill’
I am still laughing. I think it could be an advertisement of some sort….oh, and I am still in MY house jammies (11:27 a.m.) It’s sort of like getting dressed, but NOT. There are the ones to sleep in that I take off to put the ones to schlep around the house in. Still jammies, however. That is how Saturdays are HERE. No judging from this peanut gallery.

:-) Dean Koontz always talks about dogs smiling in his books and I’ve always wondered what a smile looks like. So, sweetpea, you’ve just shown me. LOL How cute.

You made my day with Mr. Scout Bunny, and I needed a laugh! haha He’s just the sweetest doggum! And re: yesterday’s post, you’ve got me beat with your Easter decorations. I’ve got nothing… Not one, single thing. Dad’s been in the hospital and was just moved to a nursing home/rehab center so at this point we aren’t even doing Easter dinner tomorrow. Hopefully when he comes home we’ll color eggs and have our big Easter dinner! Happy Easter, Claudia!… Donna

You are so funny!!! Thanks for the Easter humor! I hope you have a great Easter. I hope the Easter Bunny leaves you some chocolate eggs, or whatever kind it is you like. Me, I’m a jelly bean kind of girl. I guess I’ll have to buy my own though.

It was yucky here too this a.m. but cleared up and is sunny and breezy. Got a little gardening in but not too much – it was my first venture in the yard so need to pace myself – ha!
    Have a wonderful weekend Claudia.

    Hi Miss Claudia,

    Miss Morgan here…

I’m sitting in my mom’s lap while she visits blogs and when I saw Miss Scout’s bunny ears I was sooooo glad it was her turn to be the Easter Bunny and not MINE!!

By the way you look super with Bunny Ears. ♥

Oh… and mom says flannel pj’s in the middle of the day are definitely part of her dress code. :0)

Pink Sparkles and Pink Treats for your Easter,

What a cute little Easter “bunny” you’ve got there…or should I say TWO cute Easter “bunnies”. This post makes up for your self-reported lack of Easter decorations this year…too cute!
Hope you are enjoying your time at home…in spite of this cold, rainy weather. Thank goodness for flannel!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
