Feet, Fall & Deer

October 9, 2011 at 5:07 pm by Claudia

I call this: “Feet: A Study.”

Dog feet. Table Feet. And, if I had just moved just a fraction of an inch, my foot.

Drat that husband of mine. He gave me his cold. I woke up feeling poorly. Nevertheless, I girded my loins and went to help Heidi in her shop for a few hours. Now I’m home but not feeling quite well enough to tackle the wallpaper for the dollhouse living room. I did wax the newly laid hardwood floor yesterday and it looks pretty spiffy. I also added spindles and a railing to the other staircase.

It’s 80 degrees here today.

A spectacularly beautiful fall day.

Look who visited us the other day. Babies. Two of them. They were very, very close to the house.

They were munching on grass and pokeweed berries.

This little one was watching me as I took these photos from the other side of the kitchen window. And apparently enjoying those pokeweed berries. Can you see those beautiful eyelashes? This is one of the many reasons that I am a vegetarian.

Here’s another:

And that dog foot is pretty cute, too.

Claudia, I had no idea of what four solid days of sleep deprevation could do to a person. Now, I know first hand. And as you might well imagine, I post, and it stopped. I thought I could sleep, but no rest for the weary. The phone started ringing. ENOUGH!

    XO,

    Sheila

If we could only all have those eyelashes! How sensational that they were in your yard. I know many consider them pests, but I would be planting things to attract them! Hope you feel better. Go figure. You had 80 degree weather and we had 3 days of solid rain – good weekend to catch up with Jack Reacher…. Ann

What utterly fantastic photos you’ve captured, Claudia! I’m jealous! But not of your cold. I got a flu shot last week. Don’t think I’ve ever had a cold.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
