Finished. It’s really quite beautiful – Eurographics designs puzzles that feature famous works of art. In this case, the artist is Haruyo Morita. She is a Japanese artist who worked as a kimono painter and her primary art subjects are women in kimonos, like this one.
It was a challenge, but worth it.
It did get warmer yesterday, enough to melt some of the icy snow. We still have a lot of thick ice on the parking area above the driveway and we’re going to have to get out there with our ice chopper this afternoon. It won’t go down below freezing tonight, and that will be a big help.
What a week it has been: snow, ice, trapped in the house for days, the horrors in DC, subzero temperatures. But the sun just came out and even though it will be partly cloudy, I’ll take whatever sun there is. Hey, it’s 9:16 am and it’s 35°! It isn’t freezing!
Who is surprised that the Felon is a Russian asset? Not me. I’ve known that for years. I’m just happy I can now use his Russian name on social media. It’s all starting to unravel.
We are officially in the last week of February, which has been a brutal month here in the Hudson Valley. I’m quite happy to see it hit the road. March can be challenging, but even so, we’re that much closer to spring. And that is very good news, indeed.
Sorry there’s not more to share with you! That’s the best I can do today.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.
Gorgeous puzzle of the painting… spectacular colors! I’m so glad you had some warmer weather. On the news I just heard it referred to as a weather whiplash… so nice to see more comfortable weather across much of the country. Take care.
Thank you so much, Barrie.
Stay safe!
Glad it’s warming up for you, too, this week. It’s going to be 50 glorious degrees today. I fully expect to see at least one convertible, and several motorcycles. We are off to visit a friend, so it will be a nice but longer drive in the country. Hopefully…most of your ice will melt away quickly.
I suspected as much with the felon. Our country is in trouble, and I hope people all over are waking up and plan on doing something. Continue to protest, make those calls to your senators and representatives, and write emails. It does make a difference. Ok…off the soapbox now.
Enjoy your day! ;)
And you’ll see people in shorts.
Thanks so much, Donnamae.
A complete puzzle, melting ice and higher temps…all good things to share! Spring has hit where I am…my daffodils and crocus are blooming and my cymbidium has given me one more stalk this time around so there are four. I’m happy not to have such gray skies for a while. Sunshine puts me in a better mood. Be careful chopping ice, Claudia and Dan!
Sunshine always helps my mood, Wendy.
Stay safe.
Beautiful jigsaw. I recognise the artist as I completed a jigsaw of hers last year which is The Four Seasons. Again, it features exquisitely coloured kimonos.
Glad that temperatures are rising albeit slowly.
Happy Monday
I’ll have to look for more of her jigsaws, Dee Dee.
Stay safe.
Long or short, it’s always good to hear from you. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much, Cathy.
Stay safe.
Just about every minute of February has been rugged in one way or another. And still a few more days to go. I’m so glad you’re getting a good melt. We’re warmng up too — 48 right now, they say (though quite the breeze). Warmer tomorrow. I’ll take it and hope it continues to blow your way.
We have a few more days before it gets colder.
Thanks, Jeanie.
Stay safe.
The puzzle is lovely, but did look difficult. It was 52 degrees when I grocery shopped today! What a relief.
Thanks so much, Judy.
Stay safe.
Beautiful jigsaw puzzle, Claudia. Glad things are melting. Each day brings new atrocities by the felon and his lackies. Yikes! Better days ahead, I hope. Hugs, Elaine
Even more atrocities with the budget. Heartbreak.
Stay safe, Elaine.
