Feeling a little under the weather today. Well, actually, yesterday as well. If I wasn’t masking when I’m out and about, I’d say that I have a full-blown cold. So, it’s most likely sinus exacerbated by our bizarre weather.

Anyway, this will be short. Lots of wind out there today. The accompaniment to my morning coffee is the sound of wind and the ringing of  the wind chimes. We may get quite a bit of snow on Monday going into Tuesday, but as I said yesterday, I’ll believe it when I see it. Anyway, for all my complaints about no snow this winter, at this point in the season I don’t want any snow! Go figure.

I managed to read my War and Peace  chapter yesterday but couldn’t concentrate on any other reading, so I watched videos on YouTube. I did manage to eat a piece of apple pie. His best yet!

And, for a brief moment, I played with Imogen:

Stay safe in all the crazy weather out there, my friends.

Happy Friday.

hope you and the weather get better soon!
glad you have don, apple pie, books and tv … all good.

here? cold (6 degrees) and had a long dream that ranged from sweet to strange to scary.
have a long list of things to do, which will help me to focus on the sweet.

hope you, don and everyone else have a good, easy day. and stay safe.

    kathy

ps … nope, not received any message like the one you asked about in yesterday’s post. occasionally i’ve received some that say my comment can’t be posted right now or is a duplicate request to something i already posted, but that’s my doing.

I hope you feel better soon, Claudia! Are you a hot tea drinker? Tea almost always soothes me when I’m not feeling well. And tea and homemade apple pie – I don’t think there could be a better drug out there.

Oh, feel better soon! I’m sorry you’re feeling, as my friend’s mom would say, ‘puny’. Not ‘up to par’. (Where do these ‘sayings’ come from?)

My husband is bundled up (with the raincoat-covered dog on harness/leash), trying to get the shepherd exercised with an ever-so-slight break in the weather (only light rain at the moment; was heavier overnight; is now just after 8am PST) on their regular morning walk, but it’s really cold and we have fierce, fierce wind as I write this (ugh, Claudia; we hate the wind, true? [don’t know how my hubs is walking in this; I felt like I could hardly shut the front door after him and the dog, as I pushed it against the force of the wind; I’m not kidding]) with today’s Southern Calif, nearly-unprecedented storm; indeed the weather is wild everywhere in the U.S., isn’t it?! Actually, I’m getting the oatmeal ready and have cranked up the furnace even more because we’ll surely lose power soon at this rate. It’s so dark-gray and awful outside! I am grateful I have shelter and will pray for all those who do not.

Feel better Claudia. You know the saying..an apple a day keeps the Dr away. I’m sure it must work with apple pie as well!
    Take care

Feel better soon, Claudia. Imogen has the right idea. Perhaps our crazy world will look better if we look at it upside down. Love her cute corduroy overalls. We loved Don’s apple pie. It’s our new favourite. Stay safe. Hugs, Elaine

I think Imogen is having the same kind of day I am! Hope today is as productive as you decide you want it to be and that you are feeling better.

My 17 year old granddaughter came home crying with an ear ache. She hasn’t had an ear ache since she was a little girl. Dr. said it was an infection behind her ear drum — caused by sinus. We live in Georgia and have had unusually warm weather and everything is blooming out. Today, temperatures have fallen into the mid-50s, which combined with the wind, feel much colder. Crazy weather, indeed.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
