Frustrating

February 10, 2017 at 8:35 am by Claudia

A very frustrating day yesterday. Snow, ice, wind and, at the last minute, the cancellation of the part of rehearsal that had brought me into the city. Weather, of course, is unpredictable, but the forecast had been right on the money the day before. I’m sure there were a lot of factors that went into the late decision, but yours truly was very frustrated.

Ah well. I stopped by rehearsal later in the day, said hello to stage management and picked up my copy of the script and my security pass. I’ll be back for Monday’s rehearsal. In the meantime, I have to get moving so I can grab the bus home.

End of day from my window.

Happy Friday.

Oh that’s annoying for you. On the bright side, doesn’t it mean you get back in time to see your husband before he goes away? Wishing you a good weekend, Fiona x

No. This is a long rehearsal period – the show doesn’t open officially until the end of April – and I was going to be back yesterday, with another rehearsal on Monday. I’m actually back a day late. It’s simply one rehearsal that was cancelled.

      Don is here until mid-March.

      Thanks, Fiona.

Happy Friday. This storm was a doozy. I’m going to take some photos before we make tracks all over the lawn. Safe travels.

Oh, man!! MORE frustration surely isn’t needed at this point in time! Weather has a way of adding more angst to so many situations.

Hope you had safe travels home today and that you have a nice weekend ahead. Take care!!

I’m home now. Took a shower, vacuumed (Don never sees the stuff on the floor) and just finished a banana. All is well.

He leaves in mid-March (they just decided to start rehearsals a week earlier than planned) and will be gone until the end of June or beginning of July.

What a bummer, and after hustling to get into the city ahead of the storm too! Best-laid plans, I guess. Still, it’s no less frustrating. A fair amount of time, expense & effort – all for nothing. Oh well. Did you get to enjoy the deep bathtub at least? Enjoy your weekend at home. Peace. #Resist

VERY frustrating. And maddening. I’m out for the hotel bill since that was my choice and I don’t feel right about asking the show to pay for it. But I am going to charge my daily fee since I was there and available.

I loved that bathtub! I want one here! Ours is fairly shallow and what a difference this tub made!

Sorry about logistics gone awry but, oh man, your photos are stunning; I love seeing that urban landscape through your eye. (They look like Christmas cards!) It really does appear SO cold and blustery! Glad you can have a weekend home; be careful out there…

It was cold and blustery! And the snow was blowing sideways, an umbrella didn’t even help – miserable!

Happy to be home and warm with a clear driveway, courtesy of Don.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
