Happy Birthday Pink Saturday

May 27, 2011 at 4:37 pm by Claudia

Happy 3rd Birthday to Pink Saturday! I haven’t participated in a long while… my work schedule is pretty erratic and I ran out of pink. In fact, the last time I participated was last year on the 2nd Birthday of PS. I was out of town working on that day. Guess what? Same thing this year. However, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish Beverly all the best. She has given a great deal of her time and love to this weekly meme.

I thought I’d share some of my favorite pinks from past posts:

The overalls I wore as a toddler.
<img “=”” border=”0″ src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dcE1tPCRqdI/Td_54LxXjXI/AAAAAAAAF7U/OLr-a0gU7sg/s576/IMG_2235.jpeg” />
The very pale pink robe I wore as a toddler.
My sweet doll, Tessa. She has (literally) two left feet. And an adorably beautiful face.
And a vintage program from the 1940’s play Claudia, given to me by a friend.

Thank you, Beverly, for all you do to make Pink Saturday such a success! Have to close with another photo of the baby robins right outside my door.

    Hi Claudia

I don’t think that I remember the clothes from your childhood – love seeing them.

I’ve been watching those birds right along with you. It’s so neat!

    Happy Memorial Day!

Love your sweet pink doll, Claudia! And…what a surprise to see the play program from 1940 for “Claudia” – I have a special place in my heart for that play since I was in it in 1956 at Northwestern Univ during the summer theater program; I played Darushka, the Russian opera singer, and had the most wonderful time. Sweet memories!
    Thanks for sharing!

Those little Robin chicks have pink mouth openings! One more pink for your post. The male, in the prevous post, sure looks healthy. He should be helping the chicks fledge soon. Enjoy your weekend. Peace. Brianne

    Hi Claudia:
I agree with Carol. So cool that you have some of your childhood clothes. I still have my first teddy bear but no clothes.

Your baby birds are sure growing quickly. They’ll be fledging before you know it!

    Be well,
    xoxo

Oh what a gorgeous share today. I love seeing your precious pinks that you wore as a child. Isn’t it wonderful the things our Momma’s kept that were precious to them?

Love your sweet Tessa. Two left feet hu? I have heard of a doll or two that showed up amongst many like that. Makes her that much more special. I love her beautiful face as well and her little dress is just exquisite. She looks so happy there Claudia.

Love seeing the robins nest. They will take flight soon I am sure.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Happy Pink Saturday! I can’t believe you have your own baby clothes – and they are so precious. I especially love the overalls but then the robe “especially more”. And aren’t those baby robins adorable? I miss our barn swallows – they haven’t nested under the awning several years running now – I loved watching their activities taking care of the babies and all. The baby doll is truly adorable but, I can’t tell she has two left feet. It reminded me of a neighbor we used to have who made dolls. Great post -enjoyed my visit. Thanks, Jenn

Hi Claudia! I can’t remember is I saw your pinks last year but they are just as precious. I don’t have any day to day clothes from when I was little, just my christening gown and sweaters and blankets made by family. I am happy to have that.
Your house-guests are adorable! It must be fascinating to watch their progress. Happy Pink Saturday and have a terrific weekend!

Claudia, had to come back and comment again after spending my morning time engrossed in your bird saga. Truly amazing photos. I love how you can read the expressions on Mama and Daddy Robin’s faces and know exactly what they are thinking. You really will get a photography award if you can catch the “take off” flight. xoxo
