January Christmas Critter Felt Along Linky Party

January 26, 2014 at 6:00 pm by Claudia

Hello, everyone! It’s time to share our January critters – have you made yours? If you’ve been following along, Dawn and I have decided to introduce two new felt critters every month for 2014. If you felt along with us, you’ll end up with 24 Christmas Ornaments by the end of the year. Maybe you could have a little tree where you display all your ornaments. Or maybe they would be fun for a young child to collect. However you want to use them is just fine.

At the beginning of the month, we introduced two ornaments, the owl and the bear and those are the ornaments we will be sharing in this week’s Link Up. If you are just joining in, the patterns are available for download below:

Now, it’s time for our new patterns for February!

February’s ornaments are the Cardinal and the Sheep.

Make sure you open the zip file by clicking on it – then you will see the pattern!

To download the Cardinal Pattern, visit Dawn’s post by clicking here.

We’re so excited to see your creations!

This party will remain open for five days, so even those of you who have yet to make your January ornaments will have time to create them and link up.

Thanks so much for joining in!

Edited to add: If you don’t have a blog and you want to link up, you can link your photo through your Facebook page. Dawn has written a great tutorial and has included it in her post here.

I just found this wonderful website. What an awsome idea, I am just now joining and will post my “felties” as soon as they are finished. Also, I am a Dir. at a Senior Center and this looks like an awsome project for my seniors to work on this year in craft time. Would that be ok to enlarge the patterns so it is easier for them to work with?

    Hi,
I am have a great deal of trouble printing these patterns on both sites. I can open them but not print them. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help

Not sure why, Lou Ann. It might have to do with your browser or your printer. They should download and then you should be able to select print on your computer and print them out. If you keep having trouble, go to Dawn’s blog and send her an email. She’ll be happy to send the patterns to you.

I had the same problem Lou Ann and then realized that the problem was that I was trying to print from the zipped file (silly me!). Instead of clicking to open in viewer first, just right click and extract the file. You should have no problem printing after that!

These are so cute, Claudia! I just found out that I will have to have chemotherapy and I will need something to do during the treatments. I think these little guys may be just the thing. (Check out my blog to get the chemo story.)

Thank you for doing this. I made the first 2 animals the day the patterns were posted. So much fun and so relaxing to hand sew and I enjoy putting my personal twist on each one. I made the sheep last night.
I am disappointed not to be able to share my critters at the party. I tired the facebook method but fell at the first hurdle. I am not tech savvy in the least. I got to step 3 where the photo opens with choices and couldn’t make that happen.
Anyway many thanks again for such enjoyment and a great blog.
By the way when I saw your new red shoes I was immediately taken back to my days of clog dancing in Devon as my wooden clogs had bright red leather uppers.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
