La Maison Rustique, Part Two

June 3, 2009 at 12:43 pm by Claudia

More photos from the Barn Sale ~ if you missed the first batch, just scroll down a few posts.

Don’t you just love this pink phone? And the chair with chalkboard paint?

I have a sideboard much like this that I made into our kitchen island – isn’t this one lovely?

What a birdcage – Donna, I hear it calling your name!

I think these are Joy’s birds on the top of the cage.

Such a pretty vignette.

Isn’t this the most incredible birdbath? I just love it.

This tall cabinet was already marked “Sold” when I saw it. I can see why.

This old screen door is so charming ~ I can see it in a storybook cottage.

I hope you’ve enjoyed all this eye candy. I only have one more barn sale before I leave to journey back East…I’ll really miss it.

This is post 225 – tomorrow I’ll post about the giveaway.

I also love the birdbath – it is so different – and are those peonies floating in it? Oh my goodness, I can’t believe how soon you will be seeing your fur babies! La Maison Rustique, Part Two

April 28, 2009 at 11:40 am by Claudia

I promised more photos and I hope I can get these all posted before I have to take off for the day. A rather sleepless night has me a bit off my game. Here we go!

Beautiful garden display.

This booth belongs to my friend, Christie Repasy.

Here she is!

More vignettes

This chair has my friend Susan’s name written all over it.

More tomorrow – some photos of my finds.

    Hi Claudia,

You are busy!! Love your blog – the van better be big with all your goodies! Thanks for the reply about your blog set up – but I was talking about not your header, but about your background – the green and the ribbon that runs down the side – how did you get that background up on blogspot? I have been wanting a background for so long and can’t figure it out. I figured out the header, just not the backgound – can you help a computer challenged, fume-invested, painted-perplexed, person such as myself??? :-)

    Thanks
    Elizabeth

Oh My! This just gets better and better. Would I ever have a blast there. Can’t wait to see your finds.

PS: I just bought the mailbox with the blue birds. Guess how much it was? If you guessed only $10.99, you’re right. I can’t believe I passed it up. I suppose my mind was so intent on our reason for being there, that I simply forgot to turn on my shopper’s brain!! ♥

Gosh, this just looks like Heaven to me!! I’d take the sconces & about 10 of Christy’s paintings!!! I just bought a very similar chandy to the one in your last pic ~ needs some work but I can’t wait to fix it up & hang it in my kitchen!

Looking forward to seeing your finds!

Okay, I seriously never come across places like this back here in New England. I mean I have some places that I love to browse, but nothing comparable to this.. Maybe that’s a good thing… too much temptation!

It’s funny how you think of other people when you visit shops like this. I plan to post this week about my recent visit to Fairground Antiques up in New Hampshire, and of how so many things remind me of bloggiing buddies (hint, hint: you may even find yourself mentioned in that post!!!)

Have a wonderful Sunday!… Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
