Leaves and Pansies

October 26, 2008 at 7:09 pm by Claudia

These lovely leaves await us this week. There is much raking to be done, but since my husband pulled a muscle in his back the other day, we are holding off for a few days. I did rake the leaves out of my planting beds today, as well as cleared some gutters and removed my now dead impatiens from their pots. We ran some errands and are now home getting ready for dinner. It is getting dark so much earlier now and the house seems cozy and warm. We will be watching the World Series again tonight. Yes, I’m sad that the Red Sox didn’t make it – but they have won twice in the last four years, so we really can’t complain!

This little print of pansies is so sweet. I discovered it in a little antique shop in Cedar Falls, IA. The shop was full of wonderful old prints and I wanted to buy more, but I was limited to one carry-on bag. It is now hanging on our bedroom wall.

I would love to collect more and more of these prints. They make me smile.

More later.

I have lots of raking to do too, but we’ve had quite a bit of rain here in the last few days. Hopefully things are drying out a bit today and I will catch up soon.

I love those old prints too. This one is especially pretty.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
