Based on a photo I saw online. I’d credit the photographer, but that information was missing.
Wouldn’t you like to live there?
Don’s nephew passed away yesterday. He was 44. He had two young children, ages 8 and 6. He had survived and triumphed over serious illness at a young age, going on to live a full life, full of family and friends and his wife and children. He was the son of my sister-in-law and he became the son of Don’s brother when they married, joining his two children in a fully blended family, loved and adored.
It’s a devastating loss for all who knew and loved him, and that includes us.
He succumbed to cancer at exactly the same age as my brother when he was taken from us.
There’s no making sense of it.
Rest in peace, Bruce.
Stay safe.
Happy Monday.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Your painting reminded me of the book “The Shipping News” by Annie Proulx.

Claudia I think painting can be cathartic although when faced with such a loss I might be howling at the top of my lungs on my front porch. I have done both. I am sorry your family is going thru this.

As soon as I saw the painting, I thought of Rosamunde Pilcher.
