Now how can I have a cozy, decorated apartment in San Diego without McCoy pottery? I found this lovely bulb dish on one of my visits to my favorite antique shop. It was, needless to say, a bargain. I have one like it at home in aqua, but I love how striking it is in ivory. I filled it with these:
These are some bakelite Mahjongg tiles I found in a store back home. I love bakelite and I love Mahjongg, so how could I resist? I also found this lovely vase for a song and it is one I have always wanted.
I always feel better with some of my favorite pottery around me. I thought I would have to go to rehearsal today, but turns out I don’t. I will be watching the Chargers play and crossing my fingers for them. And “24” starts tonight! I am a huge fan. Due to the writers’ strike last year it wasn’t aired. It has been almost 2 years – can’t wait!
Thanks for all your supportive comments on my decorating here in San Diego. They help so much in this transition.

Love the prints. Love the moon, it was also beautiful here in Florida. Love the pottery. Also love you.

I’ve been on the lookout for some good McCoy, but here lately it seems there’s nothing to be found. I passed up buying a big jade planter a few months back, could just KICK myself.

They are both lovely pieces. I love the way the tiles look in that bowl. Visuals like that are always a treat to see. My sister in law taught all of her neices and nephew how to play Mahjongg one summer. They thought that was a lot of fun.
Hmmmm, I’m having a hard time posting here, all of a sudden. I’ll give it one more try.
