Meet Chippy

November 6, 2011 at 9:00 am by Claudia

We have a little chipmunk who’s been hanging out at MHC. He’s elusive; I catch a quick glimpse of him running down the maple tree or through the garden. Chipmunks are adorable creatures to me. I call each one that I see, “Chippy.” While Chippy was munching on some leaves right outside the kitchen window the other day, I had a chance to take several photos of him.

Could he be any cuter? Maybe he is a she.

Those are maple leaves so you get an idea of his/her size. Teeny. And adorable.

Chipmunks are some of my favorite creatures on earth, and Chippy is as cute as can be. Fortunately, they don’t do the same kind of naughty things their larger cousins like Mr. Nutkins do. ;-)

He really is precious! Thanks for sharing him with us this morning, Claudia. It reminds me of childhood when we had two that lived in pine straw beneath a cattle gap. We would roll over in a car, and the would pop down and pop back up. Always without fail. LOL! It was their little game.

    XO,

    Sheila

Oh how adorable! Chipmunks are the cutest little things. We have lots of wildlife here, but I’ve yet to see a chipmunk. You really caught some awesome photos of him . . . or her. Thanks for visiting my new blog. ♥

Here in my garden I have a love hate kind of relationship with Mr. Chippy. First, he love my bulbs, hate. But he is so so cute, love…. Then he disappeared by the patio of stairs and guess what we had 30 Mr. Chippy’s in the spring…I need not tell you how that went over…..

    hi Claudia

We used to have tons of Chippys but this year I haven’t seen any. I always think of Chip and Dale when I see them.

I saw you Chico’s ad on the sidebar – love that store!

I do not think we have any here. Our one million squirrels probably keep them scarce. He is tiny and cute.

Claudia, looking at your beautiful pics brings to mind Alvin and the Chipmunks. I think I’ll go and listen to some of their songs on You Tube. Just a couple. I love the sound of their endearing little voices!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
