Merry Christmas Eve

December 24, 2009 at 1:33 pm by Claudia

How fast the time goes! Christmas Eve is upon us – I’m very happy to say that all presents are wrapped, the house is almost clean, I’m feeling better (still coughing, though) and the sun is shining. Don still feels yucky but now I can take care of him; he took such good care of me.

Last night we watched It’s a Wonderful Life – oh, I love that movie! Tears were shed and the message that every individual makes a difference was joyful and heartening. This afternoon, I’m watching White Christmas. Love it. Since we are both far from our families, we will have a quiet celebration tomorrow morning and dinner later in the day with our good friends.

The Happiest of Holidays to all of you. For those of you who celebrate it, Merry Christmas! I wish for each and every one of you the most joyful of days, full of family, friends and love. I am most grateful for your friendship!

Merry Christmas Claudia. I’m so glad you are better and your hubby is on the mend. We celebrated our Christmas yesterday with our daughter and her family. They were back home in Oklahoma before the storm hit the midwest this morning. We will have a quiet (and lazy) day tomorrow with lots of leftovers.

    Merry Christmas Claudia!
You don’t know this, but I often think of you because of the similar things we have in our house. Not only the china I use every day (which I know you have some pieces of too), but I also noticed you have the same fabric on your pillows as I do (the Laura Ashley Peony pattern). And your dog looks just like my sweet childhood dog who I grew up with.
Little things, I know, but I just think that is so funny.

Anyway, Happy Christmas from the Netherlands! Best wishes, Josje

    Dear Claudia,
I haven’t seen A Wonderful Life yet this year…. I hope it is on today sometime. I love White Christmas. .. I am a big sap for the older movies. I am either crying or smiling from ear to ear when watching them. Have a blessed and merry Christmas!
    hugs!

    hi claudia!

we just tucked the boys in “all snug in their beds” and i need a quiet little activity — of course blogging fits the bill!

we have enough food and treats to feed an army but tomorrow will be the four of us plus my MIL. glad to hear your both doing better. so lousy feeling lousy.

isn’t “white christmas” a hoot? i love it but the dialog (“grab the cow,” “boffo!”) and age differences make me chuckle. still i love it.

    merry christmas!!!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
