Mini-ing

September 22, 2018 at 8:46 am by Claudia

My butterfly bush did come back this year, but it’s about a quarter of the height it was last year. I think the winter was very hard on it. I cut the old wood way back. It was also very slow growing. But it’s here and that’s the important thing. I hope the butterflies got a chance to enjoy it!

I’m heading to the miniature show today, though I was unsure about that when I got up. I didn’t sleep well last night. I could go tomorrow, but I think I should just toughen up and go today. So I’m writing this post rather quickly because I have to get ready. It’s a two hour drive, one I know like the back of my hand, but two hours nonetheless.

I’ll take what photos I can.

Miniatures can be very pricey, so I’ll have to see what I can buy on a budget.

Happy Saturday.

Duolingo is a great online site for learning any language, especially as it speaks to you. I am learning Welsh, the hardest language in the world ! And it’s free, give it a try and good luck,

your mini butterfly bush is still pretty.

mini sleep is, however, not good (hope tonight’s better).

a minis show sounds right up your alley (have fun)!

I thought about getting a butterfly bush this year but didn’t. Maybe next. Enjoy your mini day!

Claudia, even on a budget, you can pick up ideas and have fun talking to other enthusiasts, which I already know you know! Looking forward to the photos. Haha, I just glanced over at your sidebar and spotted the bags of Peet’s … I’m drinking my morning latte now. I’m so happy I figured out how to fix my espresso maker!

Your butterfly bush is lovely and encouraging for you and any of us. Things can be tough and slow us right down…..but as you expressed it so well, ‘it’s here, that’s the important thing’.
may you and all your readers enjoy the precious moments.
I’d been catching up and thank-you for sharing so authentically and am sending you a huge hug,
Love and encouragement as you make your way.
Hopefully you feel well enough to really enjoy the day..maybe a few leisurely cups of coffee along the way ?!

Enjoying your early fall pics, as usual they’re lovely. Just catching up your last few posts and am glad things are looking up a bit for you professionally. Have been out of action all week with a terrible chest cold that really knocked me for a loop. Have spent more of week laying in bed reading “Fear,” which probably has something to do with the “knocked for a loop” part, and my Fred Rogers bio, which is inspiring.

Have fun at the mini show! I always enjoy looking at your pretty little houses.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
