No pictures today. Saturday was an exhausting day, with rehearsal in the city and me still not feeling well. I slept a lot on Saturday night, but this whole crud thing is complicated now by pollen and allergies, so I can’t tell what’s what.

Today I go in for an afternoon run-through which means I’ll leave this morning and won’t be home until late this evening. Tomorrow: off. Wednesday, a very early trip into the city for a final run-through before the show heads into tech in New Jersey. And then, 4 or 5 days later, I’ll drive to NJ for a dress/tech and maybe a preview, depending on how it’s going. And then I’m done!!

But the big news is this:

Our dear friend Adrian got a new heart last night!

On Easter!

Don happened to call Adrian in the afternoon, just after Adrian had received the news that a heart was available and that it was a match. We kept in touch with his wife, Margaret, as he went into surgery around 5:00 California time. We really didn’t hear anything more until this morning when Don sent a text to Margaret. The surgery took longer than expected because he had some bleeding problems, but that seems to have been resolved and he’s back in ICU, intubated and still sleeping.

Now, we wait.

Adrian and Margaret could use your prayers, my friends.

An amazing day yesterday.

Stay safe.

Happy Monday.

Whatever you both have is sure hanging on. I couldn’t think of a worse time between the work, and allergy season. Hoping you’ll both feel better soon.

Rest up…and enjoy your day! ;)

It doesn’t sound like you are feeling much better but at least there is an end to work in sight now and you can rest more. I hope you and Don will be recovered soon.

That is wonderful news about Adrian’s new heart, but of course tempered with thoughts of the donor and those that loved them.

Talk about a resurrection story! Three cheers for Adrian and to the person who donated this precious organ.

I hope you’re soon over all this and can just relax. At least the work part will be done and you can focus on getting well. Hang in there. The tunnel light is getting closer.

How you must dread the travel these next days when you’re still feeling so sick.

That’s fantastic news about Adrian. Prayers and healing vibes for him and caring thoughts for his donor’s family, too.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
