Nella and the Blog

January 10, 2010 at 5:29 pm by Claudia

My parents, who are in Florida, make a point of reading through all my blog posts for the previous week every Sunday afternoon. They get on the computer and read the posts together. I love that. My Dad, who has a new camera, recently sent me this photo:

There’s the blog – and there is Nella. Nella is my favorite kitty. She is just a darling with so much personality. However, call me crazy, but she looks a tad resentful of the time my parents spend reading my blog. It looks as if she has tried to stop the whole thing, doesn’t it? Or at least position herself between them and the computer. Oh Nella, you have them all the time, I live far away…can you just give me a few minutes every Sunday? Please?

    Hi Claudia,
I love this post! My parents do the same. They read my blog faithfully…they may be the only ones who do. hahaha And my mom cannot figure out how to comment so she sends me an email after every post. Sometimes life is so crazy and I think I’ll give up my blog…and then I remember how much they love it. Thank you for telling this sweet story…and yes, Nella is a real sweetie:-)

Love Nela the cat! How sweet of you parents to read your blog each Sunday together.

I just had to push Rocky off the computer desk. He loves to get between me and the computer screen!

No she’s a cat. They want it all! hee hee! That is sweet they spend time reading your blog! My mom walks by as I type and says what’s that? If I am visiting another blog she looks if it is a pic of something she knows she just says oh. She wants a blog but I’d do all the work so I haven’t made her one yet. hehe Glad Nella lets them read the screen!

    Claudia,

You are so lucky to still have your parents!!! My sister and sister-in-law read my blog like your parents. They e-mail me with suggestions and I say “give me a break puh-leeze”.

While I’m reading this my black and white Clyde has stuck his head up in the lampshade next to my computer. Think he’s cold, or spots a flying critter? Looks so silly. For a minute there you couldn’t see his head and he looked like a tall black and white kitty lamp with a lampshade stuck on his head!

    Claudia,

That is too cool that you parents spend every Sunday reading your blog.

Last year I learned that my Dad had been printing out every post at my blog and putting it into a three ring binder for my Mom to look at whenever she wants to. Mom can’t read well on the computer anymore so this way she gets to keep up with me.

And yes, Nella is definitely got that LOOK…..and she’s not giving an inch! :0)

    Have a great day,
    Stephanie

Oh, and how was the Broadway show??

Poor Nella, invaded by the land of the blogs and she’s a cat! No one is safe! I think it’s neat your parents read your blog every week, it must make you feel special that they make the effort. Have a great week and a wonderful Monday!

    :) So cute!
My Dad and my twin brother read my blog posts. They’re not too interested in my home decor posts, but it’s kind of nice that they follow along. :)
    Happy Monday, Claudia!

Believe me Nella is ticked off that you are on the computer. She only has eyes for me, besides Mom and Dad that is. She is quietly telling you to scram!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
