I finished The World of the Tudors yesterday afternoon. I did it in 3 days, which is a record! There’s the big Tudor Rose smack dab in the middle of the puzzle. The colors in this particular puzzle make me happy. I really love this series. There are only two left that I haven’t done and one is on my kitchen table ready to go – The World of James Joyce. If you’re interested, you can find them on Amazon under Lawrence King Publishing or you could google any of the titles.

I’m feeling down – but who isn’t, given the state of the world? Don is also down. We’re grateful there is no break and that surgery isn’t needed, but he’s still in a great deal of pain. He gets frustrated and tries to hurry the process along. We had a talk this morning about how he needs to be patient and slow down and perhaps have his doctor refer him for physical therapy.
It’s going to reach the 60s today in a freakish weather change. It’s also going to rain both today and tomorrow. Then back down to the 40s, which is fine. I’m hearing more and more birdsong every day and the Carolina wren few into the trailer yesterday. Maybe he’s staking his claim?
Oh, spring. You can’t come soon enough.
Stay safe.
Happy Sunday.

It’s sunny today. I’m so grateful for the good weather as it helps to keep my spirits up.

It’s amazing what a difference a sunny day makes!
Stay safe, Linda.

60s yesterday here and even this morning high 50s. Dropping fast (supposedly dropping 30 degrees today) and huge winds. March.
I adore this puzzle. I might have to give that one a go. I can guarantee you, it won’t be three days!
PT is always awesome and helpful. If you can afford it, do it. If you can’t, consider it somehow, even a few visits to get the exercises and a plan.
Claudia says
The colors in the puzzle are so cheerful!
Thanks so much, Jeanie.
Stay safe.

We had almost 60° yesterday and rain last night. We still have snow cover on at least half the yard, but most of the ice on the driveway is gone. And hubby saw a robin in our birdbath! It feels like spring!
I’m sorry Don is still hurting so much. It’s going to take time. Physical therapy is a good idea.
Have a good Sunday.
Claudia says
I saw some robins yesterday, Marilyn!
Thanks so much.
Stay safe.

My daughter lives in central Pennsylvania and the weather forecast was for a rainy 70 degree day. She hopes the rain and warm temps help eliminate the ice and dirty snow. On another note the wren more than likely is return from last year. We had a cabin birdhouse that the Carolina wrens staked a claim on . I loved their feisty nature, A chickadee claimed their space one year Two spent days widening the entrance by pecking away at the wood. I would watch for hours as I did dishes and tided the kitchen. The wren couple returned and a turf war was on . The battle went on for about four days. The WREN reclaimed the house and spent days getting rid of the nesting material of the chickadee family. Not sure if eggs were in the nest probably not. The next year the Carolina wren was on watch several weeks earlier . John said that they did not want to battle again LOL I too am so troubled but ultimately things are out of my control . I did what I was nudged to do . It may seem trite but I had a best friend that handled her stress very well. “Do your best and Rest …Which means do all that you can and leave the rest to God. Worry gets us sick , Stress is a killer of the body and mind. I just tune into HGTV and play calming music and pray . Vivaldi’s four seasons is on constantly lately Now from my experience PT is expensive because my insurance at the time did not cover more than a month Out of pocket was pricey but so worth it, I never expected those painful exercises to pay off But they DID Two months after starting I was able to comfortably sleep . Sleep is necessary to heal the body and I had not slept in two months . Your puzzle is beautiful I am losing my eyesight and puzzling is not the joy it once was but with my new magnifying light I just may order that one Thanks for sharing and trying resting your mind a bit I am a few years older and a bit bossy to those I care for I feel like I know you a bit so please forgive my bossy comments

Your ‘bossy’ is really caring, Patricia. I’m grateful for it. Vivaldi sounds like just the right thing!
Your thoughts on the wren are welcome – since I hear him almost every day, I think he’s making sure no other bird takes over that birdhouse.
Stay safe.

I enjoy seeing your puzzles and the girls. I just finished a cute puzzle of a book shop with a girl reading out front. It took me about a week. You are really fast doing your puzzles.
I hope Don feels better soon and I’m glad nothing was broken.
Claudia says
Thank you so much, Carol.
Stay safe.

I have had several shoulder surgeries and they were not able to see the problem until I had am MR I.
The X Ray did not reveal the problem. Maybe if the pain persists he should insist on the MRI. Sometimes we need to be pro active.
Claudia says
I mentioned that possibility to him yesterday, Linda. Thank you!
Stay safe.

Claudia, I thought about your ordering Blythe clothing from your Russian sources. Will you have to stop that now that most of the trade there (and banking too) is being blocked?
Claudia says
Yes. Most of my Russian Blythe friends are against the war and they now find themselves unable to sell their work. Paypal was the way in which most transactions were handled and they are no longer doing any business with Russia. I see a lot of posts filled with worry about their income dropping.
Stay safe, Petra.

My husband fell on the ice last year and had no breaks but a lot of pain. He went to a chiropractor for 3 months and it was amazing what they could do to resolve the movement issue and get rid of the pain.
Love seeing your puzzles.
Claudia says
Thank you Julie! I’ll pass that on to Don.
Stay safe.

So sorry to hear of Don’s consistent pain. It is a horrible thing. It affects one’s attitude which is, to me, the part that really sucks. The feeling is like circling the drain. Every day. All day. All night. It becomes all one can think about. If it doesn’t get much better this week, I do agree with others in him advocating for himself and requesting an MRI. It is a much better diagnostic tool, although having an X-ray would be step 1. If that found nothing, and the pain is still so persistent, then time for the next step. Don wants to lead an active live, so his asking for an MRI does make sense. And PT, though seemingly miserable at the time, does work!!
I thought of you today with the lovely fashions for your girls when they said all Master Cards and Visas would no longer work in Russia. This is all so senseless. Saw a great piece on 60 Minutes about the people of Poland doing all they can to help the citizens of Ukraine seeking asylum. Being of Polish descent, I felt so very proud. Good vs Evil. War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing.
Take care.
Claudia says
An MRI might be the next step. Certainly, physical therapy of some sort.
Yes, my Russian friends can no longer sell – they’ve had to temporarily close their Etsy shops. Paypal was the way most business was transacted and they’ve stopped working in Russia. Putin feels no pain, but his citizens are the ones who will feel it as the economy crashes.
Poland. I have nothing but respect and love for that country. They are magnificent.
Stay safe, Chris.
