Odds and Ends

October 22, 2008 at 6:24 pm by Claudia

Yummy! I made some chocolate chip cookies yesterday and they are quite tasty. I do like seeing them under my glass dome on the new island. They look so welcoming and inviting in our kitchen. There is a problem, though – I keep eating them.

I want to share a couple of things I got at Rhinebeck:

This looks larger than it is – it is a coaster. The center is hooked like a rug and the petals of the sunflower are strips of wool. My sister bought 3 and I bought one. We both would have bought more, but there weren’t many left. I think its charming and it looks lovely on my blue table in the den.

This lovely vintage project bag was an early birthday gift from my sister. I love it. I love vintage fabrics and this bag is charming. Its already holding my current knitting project.
More later.

    Hi Claudia,
Thanks so much for visiting. I’ve been enjoying some of your previous posts, particularly your fall pictures. I was in New England this time last year and the colours really do have to be seen to be believed. I don’t think anything in the UK can compare (well, maybe Scotland a bit!) It was truly beautiful and I can’t wait to return.
As a fellow vegetarian, I can completely empathise with your post from Monday too.
    Enjoy a lovely weekend

Your bag is so pretty. I’ve always liked bags made out of vintage looking fabric like that.

Your photograph in the sidebar is lovely, Claudia. You look like such a sweet person, and have kind looking eyes.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
