Wow!

December 14, 2008 at 8:13 pm by Claudia

I ran outside in my stocking feet (and its cold) to get this photo. What an amazing sunset! If you look closely, you’ll see a orange/yellow column that looks like its shooting up to the heavens – like a pillar of fire.

Happy Sunday.

Decorating is exhausting!

December 13, 2008 at 6:53 pm by Claudia

Oh not for me, for them. Supervising, sniffing, barking, smelling the tree…being told to “get away from the tree, your tail is knocking off the ornaments” – its a lot for a dog to deal with. Happily, they have the sofa to themselves at the moment. Do you think they’ve been good enough for a visit from Santa?

Decking the halls (and the tree)

December 11, 2008 at 5:44 pm by Claudia

Some favorite ornaments on the tree and off:

A bowl of goodies on the coffee table

I’ve had this ornament for years and years – a little ceramic deer that I got in my early 20’s

My little, teeny wooden Santa next to some much bigger ornaments

This dog on a pillow ornament is always the last we put on, in honor of our late and so beloved boy, Winston.

Isn’t this a beautiful ornament?

This one has been around a long time. My church choir director made it and gave it to me in high school. I hope you can tell it spells out “Claudia”

Pink vintage loveliness

More vintage beauty

Our tree – I’ve since added more of the wonderful large cream bottle brush ornaments because I love them so and because they are carried in the shop!

More later!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
