Peachy Baby

March 18, 2011 at 9:13 am by Claudia

Baby shoes. I found these a while back in an antique store. The label says Miss Day’s Ideal Baby Shoes. Size 0. They are a lovely peachy color. I wonder who wore them and where that now grown-up person is?

I’m home. Tired. I did a lot of traveling in less than 3 days. Don’s suffering from the same cold I had. All because I kissed him the day we met in NYC. That was the day I felt a little under the weather, where I thought something might be coming but wasn’t absolutely sure. I’m sure Don has cursed me repeatedly since.

Beautiful, warm weather has come to our neck of the woods. Today is the first day of The Massive Yard Clean-Up . And it will be massive. Leaves, branches, sticks – you name it – are strewn all over the place.

Are you like me? Do you have gardening on your mind? All the time?

I hope you have a wonderful, warm weekend.

I’m sure Don will forgive you. He’s probably given you some kind of bug during your years together! I’m glad spring has finally come to you! I am not a gardener. I would like to do more, but I don’t know much about gardening.

Good that you are home and hope you can stay relax now for a few. But if you have gardening and massive clean-up, does not sound like you will be relaxing much.

Grab the Echinacea liquid and dose him up many times aday. We use it here and have not had a cold last longer than a day.

    God Bless your weekend.

Claudia, I have those exact same shoes that were mine when I was a baby. Mine have been bronzed now, but I have a picture with them.

Good luck with The Massive Yard Clean-Up. And, I hope your Don feels better soon. Get some rest, too.

    Totally adorable shoes.

Next week is spring break and we are doing a massive clean up and finishing projects in our back yard. Praying for good weather. Yes, I’ve got gardening on the brain!

I’v been through your posts! Fabulous photos!! How exciting that you get to go to so many interesting places!

Spring!?! NOT here! It is winter weather here, March in like a lion, hopefully out like a lamb!

We had a 40 plus crash on 80 towards Tahoe yesterday, one fatality, b/c of the weather, snow.

Hope you have a fab weekend!

Caudia! My youngest daughter had a pair of these little shoes – she is now 28! :)
I DO think about gardening ALL THE TIME! I started some larkspur seeds this week, and am planning to make some plant surrounds from aspen branches soon. But I really won’t be doing much until May.
    Hope you enjoy your weekend,
    Zuzu

Awww, sweetie, I’m sorry Don is not feeling well but I know that he would not have turned down a smooch from you for anything!!

I have some baby shoes very similar to those. My grandmother bought them for me and mom kept them. I still have them boxed up in the garage. I need to get them out and display them.

Marshall and I were outside this morning trying to tame our wild rose bushes. We don’t have a clue as to what we are doing but they are really wild!!
We also need to cut some of the branches from all three of our oak trees. I noticed that our giant oak in the front yard is encroaching our neighbors Royal Poinciana tree. Need to get that trimmed but I think we need to hire a professional for that job!

Don’t over exert yourselves with that clean-up!

    Hugs,
    Deanna :D

Oh it was cold today but we still worked in our gardens and yard. It felt soooooo good. My kitchen garden beds are ready for their veggies and herbs. Now if only I could find a nice French tarragon to plant. I hope to add another kitchen garden bed this spring too. Love those raised beds. So nice to see your trip to Chicago too. I love Chicago!

What precious booties! Poor Don. I’m sure he won’t stay mad at you forever! We had our first sunny and warm day in weeks. I thought about doing some yard work but has a Scarlett O’ Hara moment and decided to put it off until tomorrow!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
