Picking Up

March 11, 2012 at 10:33 am by Claudia

It’s sunny, a bit warmer and what am I doing today? Besides crocheting, that is. Picking up dog poop from the corral and picking up rocks in my front yard.

Oh, yippee.

Nothing like dog poop and rocks to put a spring in your step and a song on your lips.

I have much to accomplish in the next less-than-a-month. Suddenly I’m hyper aware of everything that needs to be done around here before I go to Hartford. I think it’s time to make some lists.

There is yarn everywhere in this house, but especially in the den. That’s because the den is where I sit and blog and sit and read and sit and watch television and sit and crochet. There’s a box of it on the desk (that I crop out of all photos like the first one in this post.) There’s a bag of it on the floor right next to the desk. There’s a tote full of yarn next to my chair. I’m crocheting like a madwoman.

I’m aiming for a shop update tomorrow. Obsession Scarves are being purchased almost as quickly as I list them. I have 3 for tomorrow and more in the coming week. Meredith has crocheted some wonderful flower scarves and I’ll be listing them tomorrow as well. Wait ’til you see them – they are so summery, so fun!

How is your day going? Any plans for this Sunday?

I know just what you mean. As soon as the weather warms, I begin to notice, while walking through the yard, that things need to be done – and I mean lots of things. Sigh. I am so happy that your scarves are selling quickly. I know you need this to happen as we are in the same no work situation as you. Sending good productive vibes to you, Kelly

I know that I need to get busy and finish up some winter projects before Spring hits here. It seems I never get done half of what I had planned on doing before the seasons switch over.

I am glad your scarves are selling. How wonderful is that?!?! Happy Sunday to you~ xo Diana

After the mess of moving in, I’ve learned to avert my eyes when I move from room to room…LOL.

Love those colors and that wools, the muted turquoise is the accent color of my living room rug, and my favorite color lately. So springy with the green.

And I am thrilled to hear that your scarves are selling out so fast, that’s great news.

I am so glad that your store is doing so well.
Lists always help me. I get more accomplished when I know I am going to be gone.
Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods. It will help with the poop and the stones.

It is rainy here so I will be inside resting. Fighting this flu that will not go away! I love my scarf and want to also order one for Spring! Hope I catch them before they are all gone!
I love the images of all of that yarn!
    Sweet Sunday!

You are a busy woman, indeed. How about hot chocolate while crocheting? I was thinking about your last post. So how about me sending real Swiss chocolat to you as a gift because you add so much pleasure to my life? Would you mind sending me your postal address? I promise to send you the best.

Have a good Sunday. Mine has been pleasant.

Claudia, such lovely colors of yarn. We’ve had a rainy weekend so we have been purging our attic today. It’s hot work even in the rain, but it’s fun to see some of the things we are finding. So glad your etsy is doing so well. Ann

Sounds like a fun day in your neck of the woods! We have had the most wonderful weather the last 2 days! We had plans to fix some leaks and fix a broken garage door but instead some family time came up and we got to see our family. Pretty good weekend, I would say! I love your scarves….I would love to have one but you are always sold out!~Hugs, Patti

I did nothing much today. I read blogs, munched a lot, watched television, and I just finished my workout. I will be turning in soon! Of course, I got up extremely late because of the time change. It always takes me a few days to get used to that! I’m so happy for you that your Etsy shop is doing so well.

I watched basketball (I’m a fanatic) and cleaned. I always get a lot of cleaning done when there is a game on. Lots of nervous energy :)

I do wish I had the patience to learn to knit…I started crocheting when I was a child…and gave up after I couldn’t keep the second row straight. :0)

Love the colors in the yarn. You have a shop? I am going to go check it out!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
