Pink Saturday

April 10, 2009 at 10:40 pm by Claudia

This Pink Saturday finds me back home at Mockingbird Hill Cottage for a little visit. It is going by too quickly, but I am having a great time with my husband and my dogs!

My lovely tole container is pink with hand-painted flowers. I got it on Ebay and I use it in my bathroom to hold rolls of toilet paper!

Now, come with me on a little trip to my favorite store here in the Hudson Valley! Lets see what pink things we find…

This little doll is adorable in pink! I was with the owner when we discovered her in a shop and I consider her mine…even though she is not in residence at my house yet.

This room is an absolute treasure trove of pink!

Here’s a birthday cake in pink…

And some pink earrings I bought as a birthday present for my dear friend…

Who were they for? Does she look familiar?

Why, its fellow Pink Saturday blogger Heidi of Heidi’s Diary and the HiHo Home Market!

And my third favorite doggie, Humphrey!

Good to be home with family and friends, human and furry!

Speaking of furry friends, here is Scout with her pink a little-worse-for-the-wear leash. When we get ready to take her for a walk, she likes to carry it in her mouth on the way to the front door.

Please stop by How Sweet the Sound, Beverly’s blog to find a list of all participants! Beverly coordinates this extravaganza even while caring for her Mother after a terrible shoulder injury.

    Hi Claudia,

Thank you so much for dropping by and leaving your kind comments.

That baby doll is adorable…those thick, chunky legs! I’ve always had babies on the “skinnier” side, but my sister-in-law really produces some big ones (9lbs 10z, 10lbs 10oz, and finally an 8lb 15oz)!!!

Anyway, what a fascinating career you have had. Never studied theater in college, but did perform in plays and musicals in high school. Probably missed my calling, but I do get to use all my different “voices” when doing read-alouds in my 3rd grade classroom. You just HAVE to do the voices when you read a good book out loud!

Blessings to you this Holy Saturday,
    Valerie

Scout is just too cute with the leash in her mouth, and I swear Humphrey is smiling in that last photo of him(her?)… That looks like a shop I could spend some serious time in! I also have a floral “toilet paper” holder in my bathroom… kind of a french bucket, but it doesn’t have a lid (I’m going to figure out something!). So glad you’re enjoying your time home at Mockingbird Hill Cottage!… Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
