Pink Saturday

September 26, 2009 at 12:05 am by Claudia

MeetTressa. Tressa is my sweet doll with two left feet. I have written about her before, but I thought she deserved special attention on Pink Saturday. My friend Heidi and I found Tressa when we were antiquing. Heidi had her in her shop but I knew I would bring her home to MHC someday. I did. She really does have two left feet. At some point she must have needed a replacement leg and for some reason, the replacement leg had another left foot. When we purchased her, we were told that a true doll collector wouldn’t want her because of her two left feet. Well….you can understand why we immediately said, “We’ll take her!” And now she lives here. I adore her.

Doesn’t she have the prettiest, sweetest face?

A close-up of her taffeta dress.

Her leather shoes with pink stitching.

Here she is with the edge of her bonnet flipped back.

Stop by Beverly’s blog to see a list of everyone participating. Happy Pink Saturday!

She IS adorable. Some dolls can be scary looking but this one is pure sunshine. I’m glad you adopted her and give her the glory she deserves. We all have two left feet at one point or another in our lives!

Tressa is lovely indeed and I’m delighted you’ve given her a loving home. I must say the doggies in your sidebar are adorable too. Methinks my Molly would love to play with them.

I missed Beverly’s deadline so I’m not on the ‘official list’ but I did share PINK today for the third time.

I went back for the pink brooch yesterday, but ended up coming home with a totally different one! LOL! I’m still thinking I’ll go back for it . . . maybe next week. I keep looking at that darn picture and it gets me going all over again! LOL!!

So glad you liked my first attempt at a blinkie – it took some time, but was well worth it. (My shortest post ever???)

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
