Pink Saturday

May 30, 2009 at 12:14 am by Claudia

Hello there, everyone. Happy Pink Saturday! As always, thanks go to our hostess Beverly. Visit her blog to see a list of everyone participating this week. This Saturday marks a year since Beverly started this and we are so happy she did!

I thought I’d share some pink lovelies from Vignettes. I made one of my weekly pilgrimages to this luscious store and saved the pinks for today. This beautiful pink confection of a hat is gorgeous, isn’t it?

What about this pair of pink swans? Wouldn’t they look fantastic in a garden, or on either side of an entrance? Love them.

This dress is so impossibly beautiful ~ I fear it is someone for with a tinier waist than mine!

This lamp is one of a pair and they are huge!! I think they would make quite a statement, don’t you? Maybe a bit too big for Mockingbird Hill Cottage…

These peonies from Trader Joe’s have opened and are big and lush. They almost look like huge paper flowers, they are that big…and that beautiful!

Have a wonderful Pink Saturday and a restful weekend!

Claudia, you know I translated your page in french and it’s funny. That makes me smile because sometimes the form of the sentences are strange! I think it’s the same for French vs English. It is a robot translator so we forgive him(her)! Have a nice week-end and a wonderful week.

    Yeah, it’s Pink Saturday’s 1 Year Celebration!

Okay, loved your whole post! But, my maiden name (LOL, MaidenShade’s maiden name…) is SWAN. I think I need those pink swans… and that dress would fit me, I’m sure of it. I could wear it whilst creating… faerie catchers!

Today I’ve got Part II of For a Princess (with Part I recapped) – and as it is centered around a celebration, it fits perfectly what with all of the little princesses in their pink tiaras; ) I hope you can come by – I know you’ll enjoy it.

Good Morning Claudia and a happy Belated Pink Saturday to you. I collected tons of black seashells this time and purple ones. The purple ones I sent to my grand-daughter who loves purple. I told her a mermaid had left those gorgeous purple shells on the beach just for Grandmama to find for sweet Boo and then yesterday I found a purple mermaid at a yardsale. How apropo! I had to buy it for her to play with when she visits. Hope your Sunday is glorious. xo Lynn

Pink Saturday

March 28, 2009 at 1:01 am by Claudia

It is time for our favorite day, Pink Saturday! Beverly of How Sweet the Sound hosts this weekly event. Be sure to stop by her blog and visit all the participants.

I have two things to share with you that I bought at last Saturday’s Barn Sale at La Maison Rustique. First up:

An incredibly cute Scottie made from pink chenille! I saw this little guy and I had to have him. (I’ve decided he’s a boy even though he is pink. And why not?) The chenille is vintage and the bow is a soft green. What do you think I should name him? He currently lives on the bed, tucked up against the robin’s egg blue pillow shams.

Next we have a little pretty for me to wear…I was about to pay for my purchases when I spied this in a glass case at the register. I soon tried it on and that was that.

I love this necklace! It is so beautiful ~ I can’t wait to wear it!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Pink Saturday and an equally wonderful weekend!

Another way we’re alike – I always ‘genderize’ things, too! ha ha Not to mention the fact that we love all the same colors… pink, green, robin’s egg… don’t they all coordinate beautifully? Hello Claudia,

What a darling little scotty! Lots of guys wear pink! and I love your necklace. It has a very vintage “Parisian look to it”. Now what to name your little pink scotty….Hummmmm I’ll need some time to think of a good name.

    Happy Pink Saturday.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
