Happy Pink Saturday, everyone! As my husband said today, “Is it time for Pink Saturday already?” That’s how I feel – my how time flies lately!
This week I am showing a few pinks from my little “studio” in the upstairs hallway. That’s where my sewing machine, cutting table, inspiration board, and quilt design wall are located. It also seems to be the pinkest area in the house!
This is an original watercolor by our Pink Saturday friend, Helene. I won it in a giveaway and I have just had it framed. It hangs on the wall in my studio. Isn’t it beautiful? I treasure it.
My new pink measuring tape – much more attractive than the standard color, don’t you think? That’s a spool of vintage-ish pink moire ribbon I found while antiquing.
Some more of my hearts – not quite finished – they need their poly-fil stuffing.
The sweet “Vowels” print was given to me by Heidi (perfect for me as a Voice and Speech teacher) and is edged in pink velvet. The sweet bird is by my friend Joy. Both hang from the turquoise shelf by my sewing machine.

What a beautiful painting. . . it looks wonderful in its new frame!! LOVE the pink tape measure and the darling “vowel” chart. I didn’t realize you are a voice and speech teacher!! I was a sp. therapist for several years…do you have a similar background? That sounds like a wonderful career!

Darling things you have and many from lovely blog pals! I do think the pink measuring tape stands out to me…I have a blue one and oh would love a pink one. I use it often to measure items I put on my website. When I was in TV I always carried a stopwatch(checking the length of promo copy) now I carry my tape measure! How things change.

Hello Claudia, your pinks in your sewing room are all so sweet. Pink is just a feel good color.
I just moved my sewing machine into my hubby’s ‘office’ because he never goes in there anymore. I have some quilt projects I am starting and I needed some sewing space. He protested but gave in. I am excited to have a small space of my own now. I will have to pink it up. Big smile.

I love the pink velvet trimming on the frame….very pretty! What a pretty and treasured piece of artwork. I have so many pieces of wonderful stuff that friends in blogland have sent to me.
I’ve finally reached the stage in my new studio that I have a good furniture arrangement…next time Thomas is home we will cover the pieces of insulation board with flannel…and my design/mood wall will be alive! :0)
