Puzzle

August 26, 2022 at 7:54 am by Claudia

Finished. I think the title is State Fair. It was a challenge, but a fun one. One piece is missing and I’m sure that’s because I dropped it.

Today is all about getting ready for my journey to Rochester tomorrow. Filling up the car with gas, air in the tires, stopping at the store for a few things, printing out necessary information – that kind of thing.

It’s around 267 miles from my house to Rochester.

I don’t have one of the newer cars that’s has GPS and a screen built into the dashboard. My car is 10 years old. So I have to do it through my phone, which can be tricky. When I was commuting back and forth to the set last year, sometimes I’d lose the sound of the voice telling me when to turn. It drove me crazy, so that’s what worries me, because the directions are a bit complicated.

Should be a piece of cake next week when I repeat the trip, it’s just the first time out that’s a challenge.

I have to make sure I get there early enough to take a Covid test. Refreshingly, this theater requires masks. I love that.

I know this is short, but I’ve got a lot on my mind, so I have to focus on getting ready.

Stay safe.

See you on Monday.

Happy Friday.

What a difficult puzzle to do! Congrats on finishing!
I head out today to visit my oldest grandkids and their Dad in northern Wisconsin. Should be a 2 and 1/2 hour drive to and from with a 4 hour visit with them so it will be a full day for me. Can’t wait to see them as I haven’t seen them since April!
Safe travels to both of us, Claudia!

It’s old fashioned now but I print out directions from free Mapquest, com. When I’m in an area without cellular coverage I use the paper directions.
Have a great time coaching and stay safe!

I do that, too. I’ll have both options.

      Thanks so much, Betsy.

cute puzzle, even with a missing piece (took me a few moments to find the spot).

prayers said for your getting the prep work done soon so you can relax at home, then enjoy the drives to and from rochester, the work itself and some time at a very big lake this weekend.

    stay safe.

ps … one thing i collect, right or wrong, is a small jar of water when i get to big, famous or unusual water (oceans, lakes, a glacier …). sometimes a bit of sand or a teeny shell gets in there, too. usually i get the sample and transport it in an empty jar, then transfer it at home into a small white-lidded spice jar (i get them at a world market store) and tape on a little label that says where it’s from. can seal the lid with wax, too. and that not-very-big-but-i’m-still-grateful collection makes me smile when i see it.

Good luck on your drive to Rochester. My car is 9 years old and I think the year they just started putting GPS. I still don’t like using it. The dash is much too complicated for my taste. I miss my VW Beetle that was so easy. My kids wanted me in a safer car so off it went. Still waiting to hear when I am scheduled for my heart procedure. Just want to get it over with. Enjoy your drive. Take care!

This is Saturday…I awoke thinking of you and your travels today…prayers sweet girl…I received a phone call yesterday from a man I had never met…his dear wife died this week…I edited her books for fun…we met on email years ago…she emailed me in July of her heart attack asking me to pray…she had a stroke this week…Nancy Jill Thames…cozy mysteries…long story how we met actually…recently, she and I were working on another novel about a wedding vase…now her ashes will rest in it…her husband and I plan to finish editing this book…perhaps after her celebration on October…she was two months older than I…precious friends…like you…in my heart

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
