Rain…and More Rain!

July 29, 2009 at 9:11 am by Claudia

The weather report? Thunderstorms and rain for the next 6 days. Now, I love a thunderstorm, especially a summer one – although Scout is so fearful of them that we spend most of our time trying to comfort her – but 6 days of them is a bit much. I have to grab some time this morning to mow before the skies open up.

Rain does leave beautiful drops on the flowers, though, doesn’t it?

Hi Claudie, We are having the storms too. Last night was a doozy with hail too. The lights flickered and flickered but we didn’t lose power…thank goodness. They called for even worse this evening…hope not. On the upside the rain is keeping everything green and beautiful. I haven’t had to use the sprinklers once this summer. xo Lynn

What a beautiful picture! Poor Scout. Hannah didn’t like loud noises like thunder, etc either. Hugs, Marsha

Hi CLaudie! Beautiful pics. Could you share some of that rain? Send it on out here to Phoenix. The desert is begging for a drop or two. This is a wonderful post. Being indoors maybe you can get a few things done. Splish! Splash in those puddles. Get your little umbrella and go out and play. Be free today, Claudia I encourage you. Country Hugs honey, Sherry

I would have thought you’d have appreciated the rain after your stint in SD :-)

6 days is a long time though…I’ll take a day of it for you.

Oh, what lovely pics, Claudie. We were water soaked for 2 1/2 mns. & then the clouds parted. Our plants are snapping out of the water funk & let me tell you our yards were like walking on sponges … enjoy those little drops of angel blessings. TTFN ~ Marydon

I love the drops of water on the roses. Makes for a beautiful picture. We are suffering from very abnormal hot temperatures in the Pacific NW. Rain sounds nice about now.

Seriously? That sounds like the kind of weather we normally get in BC. What’s this world coming to?!

Have fun in the rain :)

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
