Rain, Rain Go Away

August 13, 2009 at 9:20 am by Claudia

Enough, already. Rain and more rain…thunderstorms, power outages, humidity. Welcome to the Hudson Valley in August. Frankly, I’m trying to be tolerant, but failing. My poor husband, who has been here all summer enduring much more rain than usual, is beyond tired of it.

And these guys?

Bored.

Wants to go for a walk.
Sorry, little ones…too wet outside. Maybe I’ll try some sewing. My little sewing nook is lovely but its home in the hallway with no A/C limits my time there in the summer. But today is dark and rainy…so perhaps it will be cool enough to create something? Cross your fingers.

Oh Claudia, so you are the one that sent the rain our way out here in Phoenix. Wanted to share the wealth? Well we will take it anytime. It felt so wonderful this morning to come outside and see a down pour all the way in to work. Thanks for sharing honey. I have updated on Amy. It is not good. She is struggling these last couple of days. Many prayers for her. I haven’t heard from Debbie yet this morning. Still waiting on news. Thank you for your prayers and love. Love, Sherry

Oh, those poor babies! I know what mine look like when they don’t get out for their daily walk . . . it’s not pretty!

Sewing is a great rainy day project . . . hope the room is cool enough for you to spend some precious time there!

    Hugs,
    Teresa

Sorry about all the rain you’re having. That is normally the sort of summer weather we get here in Vancouver BC…..but this year is much nicer. I’m afraid we have your good sunshine :)

what is this thing you call rain?, I haven’t seen rain in months, I wish we would get alittle, instead of watering all the time.

Oh, those sweet faces! Are you missing the San Diego weather?
The humidity broke here on Wednesday, which was nice, but the rains came today. Definitely not the best of summers. Hope the sewing room was cool enough to work in :)… Donna

Claudia ~ A day or so of rain is okay but when it lingers so long everyone (even the doggies) get depressed! Wishing you sunshine!

Well, it’s been raining so hard here for several weeks straight now here. The last typhoons has just passed but still, I can only the sun peeking through once in a while.

Poor babies! You know, thing on the positive side – let’s all get cozy with family :-) And see, maybe your sewing nook is missing you Claudia.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
