The view this morning. Seems like March wants to give us one last shot of snow – it won’t last long because the temps are going to be in the fifties tomorrow and Sunday. Scout’s happy. And I’m happy because I’m going to let Don shovel! I figure I’ve earned it.
Thanks for the get well wishes. I’m still not feeling great, but I feel a bit better this morning. This winter has been the toughest on my sinuses that I can remember. I’m really tired of it all.
Today I have a shop update to share with you. Bear with me as I ย show you the new banners I’m listing today. Behold, the Springtime Crochet Flower Garland Collection:
These garlands are made from Peaches & Creme Cotton. The flowers measure about 3ย ยพ inchesย in diameter. Peaches & Creme cotton has a heft to it that makes for a sturdy flower. Each banner will come with a coordinating length of ribbon. But as you can see here, you can also use a length of twine or lace or baker’s twine or fishing line. If you use fishing line, your flowers will seem suspended in mid-air. Each of these garlands includes 8 flowers, 4 in each color, and is $14.00.
This group is crocheted in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn. It is incredibly soft and made of a combination of merino wool and cashmere. Since the flowers are smaller and measure 3 inches in diameter, I included 10 each in these garlands. The Celadon is hard to capture accurately, but it is a true Celadon and it is beautiful. As with the others, a length of ribbon will be included. Since this yarn is expensive and there are 10 flowers in each garland, the price is $16.00.
If you see something you want and it’s already been spoken for, let me know. I do have some yarn left in both Peaches & Creme and the Baby Cashmerino and if there’s enough to fulfill your request, I’ll be happy to do so. I also plan on crocheting some garlands in the other colors of Baby Cashmerino that you see in the Multicolors Garland. But I have to crochet a couple of Obsession scarves in the meantime.
The light has been so inconsistent lately, it’s been a battle trying to photograph these garlands. Spring, please come soon!
Update: All banners are sold out. I’ll start making a few more! Thank you!
Happy Friday.

Just ordered a few..have always admired the one you posted on your blog many moons ago so this morning I thought I am finally going to order a few!
I am glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better and that Don will be the snow shovel clerk this time around! :)

Thank you, Linda!
Claudia says
So glad you ordered a couple, Sharron. I’ll have them out to you at the first of the week. Don shoveled the snow. Hurrah!
Barbara F. says
Love these garlands, Claudia. Also, I have found that eucalyptus essential oil, or a blend with it included, rubbed on the back of the neck is helpful with sinuses. xo
Claudia says
Thanks for the tip, Barbara!
missy george says

Wow, it may look like winter outside, but with all those flowers, it definitely looks like spring inside! Each strand is more beautiful than the one before! They are just perfect as an Easter gift to give yourself. I’d better get over to your Etsy shop and pick myself a bouquet. Have a great day
Claudia says
Thank you, Nola!
Donnamae says
I’m so glad that Don is shoveling! I stopped by your store, is the turquoise garland sold already? Unbelievable…can’t keep up it all moves so fast! Good for you! ;)

It sold out, Donnamae! I don’t have any more Turquoise in that particular yarn, but I have aqua in Peaches & Creme. Let me know if you’re interested.

Claudia these are amazing. Was slow checking in today and much is gone. I would also LIVE to have seasonal ones by you ad I have a very small space and decorate with things such as this. Hearts for valentines day , shamrocks tot St Pat’s , eggs for Easter..you get the idea. :). Like you have time I know but a girl can dream.
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Glad Don is there to shovel for you.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
Mare
Pardon mistakes. Blog checking on my phone today.
Claudia says
Then I’d have to figure out how to crochet a heart and a shamrock, etc. Maybe next year?
Linda @ A La Carte says
Claudia these are so lovely and i’m not surprised they sold so quickly! You do such pretty work. Love the colors!
Hope you continue to feel better! Glad Scout is enjoying the (hopefully) last snow!
hugs, Linda

Scout is loving it. She stayed outside while her dad shoveled. She’s happily tired out right now.
Shane says
Oh Claudia your crochet garlands are so sweet and a lovely welcome to Spring time.
The Celadon one is my favorite and I’m not surprised it’s all sold out. It would be perfect for my Easter mantel!
Thinking of you Claudia – my DH really suffers from sinus too. We are approaching Autumn on our side of the world and he’s not a happy chappy at the mo – the change of seasons play a part.
See you Saturday!
Sending you some healing Summer sunbeams from my corner of the world!

I’m ready for spring, Shane. But then I get allergy problems from the pollen! You can’t win.
Nana Diana says
I’m betting you are ready for some Spring pictures instead of all the wintry ones. Your garlands are just so sweet….just darling. They would be cute interspersed with crocheted eggs, too…..says the person that has never crocheted~
Sinuses can be so miserable. My dil and one son suffer with theirs. xo Diana
Claudia says
I’ve always had sinus trouble, plus allergies. But this winter has been really tough, for some reason.
Carolynn @ Chenille Cottage says
They are all so pretty, Claudia. I like the colors you have used. They’re perfect for ushering in the Spring….(Yes, I know, right now it seems a lifetime ago). I woke up to snow this morning, too.
Have a happy day,
Smiles across the miles,
Carolynn xo
Claudia says
Ready, ready, ready for Spring, Carolynn!
Karen says
The garlands are so pretty, an easy way to add cheer to a room! …. I’ve had my share of weather headaches this year, I find Benadryl severe really helps me with the sinus pressure and headaches.
Claudia says
I haven’t really had headaches, which is interesting because I used to have bad sinus headaches quite frequently. Now, it’s congestion that doesn’t seem to go away.
Ann says
Now you are out of the yellow and green. :-) Love it! Ann
Claudia says
So glad you’re going to get a dash of yellow and green in your home, Ann! Thank you.
Dewena Callis says
Sinus infections can make you feel horrible. But the yummy spring colors in those banners sure do help see beyond the snow and into some warm spring days ahead. That’s a good thing.
Claudia says
The banners make me happy, Dewena!
Laura says
Happy to hear you are mending, Claudia. all of your garlands are so pretty. The sun is shining here today and it feels so good.

You’ve really been crocheting up a storm! You must have enjoyed a feeling of spring, at least until they all sold and you have to ship them out! Congrats on all the sales!

You have made so many! Happy days! Regula
Haworth says
I’m glad to hear that you’re improving, Claudia, although sorry you’re not entirely well yet. Thank goodness “our” snow came and went so quickly with the arrival of these mild pre-Spring days. Your garlands are just so beautiful. The brightly colored ones remind me of all the lovely primrose plants that are on sale now in the markets, and the softer pastels are just so pretty. Little wonder they’re all sold out!! Stay well.
Kathy Schwartz says
Popped in to see what you are up to, my old friend. We should have grown up together as we love all the same things…warms my heart. Your home and your work is beautiful. I, too, love to quilt, crochet, sew, collect. Makes me smile to read through your blog.
