You are here: Home / life / Sunday

There’s not a whole lot new around here, but I know if I miss a day of posting some of you begin to worry. Riley’s hanging in there but is exhausted. Most of my time is spent sitting here in the living room, keeping an eye on him and reading or playing around on the computer.

The skies are gray and the air is heavy – we’re so hoping that rain is on the menu for today. We desperately need it around here. I know many of you are experiencing the same hot, dry weather as we are. Here’s to some much needed rain for everyone.

I wish I could be more chatty or more profound but I just can’t muster it today. I hope you have a lovely Sunday, my friends, and thank you for all your support and loving comments. They help more than you can possibly know.

The winner of a copy of Night Watch is Nancy. Nancy, I have no way of reaching you – you didn’t leave an email address. Please email me (you can get the address by clicking Contact under the header) and send me your address so that I can forward it on to TLC Book Tours.

    Claudia,

This may be a day you just need to be quiet in mind.

Away from things that have been a rush for you.Only you know what that may be.Deep inside.

To sit and ponder over the blessings in your life as well.

A Holy time You and God.

Have a restful day, Claudia. I hope you get the rain, and that we do as well. I love the hazy, other worldly, misty look of your photo. Is that a hanging lantana? If so, how do you keep it looking so good? I’ve had them in the past but mine never look that good this late in the season (I’m not a good dead header. I’ll blame it on that :)… Donna

Claudia, I’ve been reading and keeping up with you, but my phone is not very friendly. For some reason, I have to log in each and every time I comment or go to another screen on blogs. Probably I just don’t know what I should be doing; in time I’ll learn.
Funny, when I read and don’t comment, I feel like a stalker or peeping Tom.
    Take care!

That’s the prettiest hanging basket Claudia. Are you like me, rushing out to at least water them because they’re right in sight and easy to reach….whereas the remainder of the garden seems like a vast dust bowl and it’s so intimidating! I did water a lot this weekend, also pruned and pulled weeds which seem to proliferate in the dry conditions – how come they don’t require water like the expensive plants we purchase, ugh!!!!!

Thinking of you guys – a lot!
    Hugs – Mary

Sunday

November 30, 2008 at 10:59 am by Claudia

Okay, its 10:00 am and I am still in my flannel pajamas reading blogs, playing with my new phone, and generally being lazy. We’ve had a few snow flakes this morning but much to my disappointment, they seem to have stopped. I am ready for a little snow on the ground. Today will be a day of chores: doing laundry, cleaning up around the house, doing some work outside (if it doesn’t rain), organizing.

I’m starting to get in the Christmas spirit. I work part-time in my friend’s store which is fully decorated for Christmas and has been since early November. Christmas music is playing, loads of shoppers are stopping in and it all brings a smile to my face. I love how cheery everyone is at this time of year – even with frightening news about the economy at every turn. My husband and I plan to cut back on our Christmas present spending – just a few little gifts for each other. The real joy for me is the way the house looks, the sound of Christmas carols, and sharing our time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to a little Christmas decorating in the week ahead.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I love this time of year too, and oh how I love snow. We only rarely have it in December here, but I’m always hoping. I’m going to do a little bit of decorating too. That and all the small homespun things are my favorites about the holiday season, or really any season.

    Have a wonderful day Claudia.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
