Sunday at Home

November 14, 2021 at 9:30 am by Claudia

After another good night’s sleep, I’m feeling a bit more human today. Of course, I have to get up at about 4:45 am tomorrow, so the whole thing will start up again. But, in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy this sunny and cold day. The leaves are off most of the trees – the hard frost that happened over a week ago took care of that. The burning bush is a gorgeous red and the oak leaves are still hanging in there – some gold, some red.

I got my first check yesterday but it was only for one day of work. Next week’s check will be for a full week’s work.

I’ve missed Don’s cooking! And our evenings together. And our routine, which we treasure more and more. He said he’s finally relaxing now that I’m home. I feel the same way. So we’re grateful for a little time together before I have to go back to the city.

Here’s Jim on the set during a night shoot in Greenwich Village.

And here is another shot of my gorgeous Maeve:

As with most redheads, green suits her. I grabbed this outfit right before I headed to the train station on Thursday. I had received notice that she’d be delivered either Thursday or Friday, so I wanted to be able to dress her in some fresh clothes.

I have a lot to do today before I drive to the set tomorrow, so I’ll make this short. I try to post whenever I have a chunk of  spare time so that I can check in with everyone.

Stay safe.

Happy Sunday.

I am happy to hear you are back home for a bit, sleeping in your own bed, and relaxing and eating with Don. The older I get, the harder it is to be separated from my husband…even for a week. You are dealing with a lot in this movie making adventure you are having.

Relax today. Wishing you safe travels this week!! ;)

I am. It should be called “Extreme Working Away From Home.”

      Thanks, Donna.

Being home is always restorative to me also. I hope you have a good week. Love the photo of Jim, he seems like such a nice person to me. Maeve is stunning with that red hair. I have a niece who has beautiful red hair. I enjoy your posts whenever you have the time. Hugs.

So cute! Can the 3 sweet girls exchange clothes & accessories? I remember doing that with friends when we were in HS & college. Perhaps they don’t know each other well enough yet. It takes time.

Now for this week do you go back to the Cottage each evening, or not til next weekend again? Glad you were able to catch your breath over this weekend. I’m sure it helps. Take care.

They have to share clothes! I don’t have enough for each girl to have her own wardrobe…

Yes, I’ll come back to the cottage, simply because the locations this week are not all that far from home. I’ll go home on Monday the 22nd, which is the day after my birthday.

      Thanks, Chris.

      Stay safe.

Really enjoying your updates, Claudia how great is it you have been able to spend some time with Don. My son is a fan of Jim so I’ve been showing him your New York posts too.

Maeve (lovely Irish name, it really suits her) seems to have settled in nicely with your other girls.
My mother was a Redhead whilst I am an Auburn but my cousin’s daughter and granddaughter have the same colour as Maeve.

    Happy Sunday

Well, remember there are four different eye colors. That’s the one when the eyes look to the right.

Take care of you, and make the most of this new adventure. Glad you’re getting time at home this week. Can’t wait to hear more…

glad you can spend more time at home with don and hopefully get more sleep for having a closer set location this week. there’s no place like home!

looking for work (hard … i need full-time work to get health insurance and a lot of jobs around here are 30 hours a week or less), spending more time with some members of my family (along with God, they are all the best parts of my days and life forever) and getting a few things done at home (which is needed).

hope everyone has a good week. stay safe!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
