I don’t know about you, but I frequently discover something I find interesting while browsing the web and I bookmark it. It’s a handy way of remembering blogs and articles and interesting web sites. The problem? I have way too many bookmarked sites and I usually have to go through them periodically and delete those sites I no longer have any interest in. Housecleaning. Or Laptopcleaning (I’ve coined a new word.)
Here are some sites you just might like:
- My new favorite blog: Aunt Peaches. Aunt Peaches is a crafter; in fact, her byline is “The Citizen Kane of Craft Blogs.” She is talented, a great photographer, creative and irreverent. And I love me some irreverence. She also uses the occasional cuss word and that makes me love her more. Note: In my daily life, I can bandy about a cuss word or two or three with the best of ’em. I discovered Aunt Peaches via She Posts, another site you might like. She Posts highlighted one of her posts and I clicked over to read it. Two hours later, I had read most of her archives. That’s how much I like her. Bookmarked.
- Adele singing the theme to the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. Gorgeous. Haunting. Bookmarked.
- These stoves are such a neat idea and the company behind them has been passing them out to some of the homeowners who suffered such devastation during Hurricane Sandy. Bookmarked.
- I’ve been reading this blog, Pinch of Yum, for a while now. The authors, Lindsay and Bjork, share yummy recipes with their readers. But the neatest thing, at least to me, is the monthly Income Report. Bjork breaks down the figures and shares just how they earn money from their blog. For those of us trying to earn a little income from our blogs, this is valuable information. By the way, they donate much of that money to charity. Bookmarked.
- Have you seen these blogs? The Pyrex Collective I, The Pyrex Collective II, and The Pyrex Collective III? Oh goodness! If you love Pyrex, and I have to admit I have a real hankering to begin a collection, you will love these blogs. Posts are written by a group of bloggers who love their Pyrex. Bookmarked. Bookmarked. Bookmarked.
- My friend Steve, of An Urban Cottage, sent me this link. This will take you to an incredible, and that doesn’t really begin to cover it, dollhouse in the Greek Revival style made by hand. You must see it. And you must visit Steve, if you haven’t already, because he has the most wonderful house that he is restoring and it’s in Cambridge, MA, my old stomping grounds. Bookmarked.
- I saw this Tumbleweed Tiny House when perusing my email and I fell in love with it. This particular tiny house is a bit bigger than some but still small. And Charming with a capital C. I love the way it’s been decorated. Amazing. Bookmarked.
I hope you enjoy these links on this Sunday. It’s a cold, windy day here in the Northeast and I’m sitting here wearing my flannel pajamas, wrapped in a shawl. We had another sleepless night last night. Enough already, I say. I’m staying in, doing some crocheting (shop update tomorrow) reading and job hunting.
Happy Sunday.

I am going to check all those out, thanks for sharing! I had the same problem with bookmarking, I bookmarked so many, I could never find them again. Sorta like throwing something into my junk drawer, likely it will never be seen again. My solution has been Evernote. Have you heard of it? You set up your notebook, and there is a little icon on your toolbar. When you find something you want to save, you simply highlight the part or picture you want to clip, or choose “whole page” or “URL” and it saves it. I have a ton of notebooks, for recipes, shopping, new blogs, great ideas, etc, etc. You just designate which notebook, and it is so easy to go back and find it. I love it! My daughter told me about it, and now I use it dozens of times a day, don’t know how I managed without it. You might check it out and see if it would suit you. I trust Scout is continuing to improve.

I just started with Evernote about two weeks ago, Sandra. Admittedly haven’t done a lot with it yet, but I’m going to get better acquainted with it this week.

Blogging in pj’s is a favourite thing of mine, also, especially when the world is getting me down and it’s cold, dark & windy outside.
I’ll check out some of your bookmarked blogs as they sound like the sort of places I like to go to, thanks for the links.
Thanks also for stopping by Normandy Life this Sunday and your sweet comment,
hugs from me & Mr Ben.

Give Ben a hug from me!

Good Sunday Morning– well, afternoon now. But I had to come back after reading some of the links you offered up for us.
I love all the houses! I looked at all the pictures of the Doll house. You know the ‘shrink to fit’ button that we use while blogging so much? Wouldn’t you love to use that button and ‘shrink to fit’ that little house? It is adorable.
Then…on to the Greek Revival! I read the whole story of the transformation of the front facade of that home. Tremendous undertaking. But the results…lovely.
I’m going back to read more at the blog for sure.
The Tiny House– I just skim read and glanced at; I think Brenda has featured it before. I love tiny houses and I love Arkansas. If I were to live another place besides Texas…I’d choose Arkansas. It’s beautiful there. I book marked it too…so I can go back and read more thoroughly!
I say book marked… I mean pinned! That is my new bookmark system…I’m so visual.
Lastly… I think those little stoves are wonderful and I pinned it to my :: SUSTAINABILITY:: board!
Thanks for sharing you junk in your bookmark file! I loved this.
I don’t know if people would be interested in reading half the stuff I have book marked. I’m trying to go through them… like you. But I just hit delete. Never thought of sharing!
Have a wonderful Sunday, Claudia!

Well, I didn’t really think of it until today. I think it might become a regular feature …. we’ll see.
Pat says
That would be a great idea for a feature!
It’s so interesting to see what others are reading. You never know what might peak someone’s interest.
enjoyed it. ~Pat

You’re welcome, Laura.

I enjoyed looking at your links.. especially the dollhouse! I loved the photos where they take the photo from floor level, making it look like a real lifesize house. We have to move my dollhouse back into our bedroom for the holidays as it’s where the Christmas tree goes.. next to the fireplace. I thought of putting it on the baby grand piano, but I usually put my Dickens Village pieces there. OK, I must get busy now!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Claudia says
The dollhouse is amazing!

I have dozens of sites bookmarked and periodically, I go through them and start deleting. Still have too many.
Job hunting, eh? Me, too. Half-heartedly. Applying for one tomorrow.
Claudia says
I HAVE to find a job, Melanie. Have. to.

Thanks for the new blogs…! now I have even more reasons to keep me from doing what really needs to be done around here :0) Have a great day !!

I’m always happy to provide a distraction, Lori.
