Sunday Update

February 26, 2012 at 12:24 pm by Claudia

The winds were howling all day yesterday and through the night. We’re always left with an unsettled, edgy feeling when that happens. I was crossing my fingers that the willow would survive the winds until it can be taken down properly on Tuesday. It did.

I caught these two snoozing on the loveseat:

Ssh! Don’t tell Don I posted this!

Don was taking a nap under what he calls his ‘sleeping bag’ – in reality, a down jacket.

Scout looks cozy, doesn’t she?

I think they’re adorable, but then again, I might be a wee bit biased. Riley was in the den with me.

It’s sunny and cold today and the wind has stopped. I have more crocheting to do for the shop. Speaking of the shop, I listed these two scarves this morning (update: sold):

I’m starting a new one in silk and bamboo:

It will be awfully pretty in this color – sort of a wine or burgundy. By the way, your order comes with one of my little business cards (like the one above) tucked in the wrapping. You can have your very own “Sheep with a Party Hat!”

Have a great Sunday.

We have been doing alot of snoring and seeping here. I dread the wind in fear of the power outages. If they only lasted a day it wouldn’t be bad.
    I loved your little card.
Your new scarfs are so pretty as your other ones. Now I may need one for spring…..but I better get well and back to work first.

    Claudia,
I had to laugh when I saw the photo of Don. He looks how I feel today! That wind was crazy. I thought I was in a Wizard of Oz movie. So, scary!
What beautiful work. I know you are just getting started. Have you considered making neck cheifs? Is that the right terminology? I ‘m not sure. Anyway, silk? What a luxury. Yes, I add a business card in with my orders too. Just adds that touch! Nice cards :)
    Happy Sunday to you :)

What a cute picture! What is it about men that they can fall asleep just about anywhere?

I am really loving the blue scarf…such a pretty shade! All of your scarfs are unique, that’s what I love about them!

Hope you are having a good weekend…it’s very windy here, too.

Your little napping angels look so sweet! I love a nap in the afternoon.
You’ve got the luckiest dress form around; it gets to model all those beautiful scarves and shawls; I’m jealous.

Such a strange day today for me. I just couldn’t settle down to doing anything. If I read, I kept thinking I should be doing something else, and so on. You seem to be very busy with your crochet. Your scarves are little works of art, really. They’re so beautiful! I’m not surprised that they are selling like hot cakes. I’m so happy for you!

Aw…very cute. I get a warm cozy feeling when my husband is happily snoring on the couch with our 2 pups snuggled beside him while a fire is going and I’m perusing blogs on my Ipad.

Your scarves are beautiful and very detailed. The yarns that you are using sound really nice too. I can see why they are selling out. Congratulations on all of your success.

I can understand why you are grieving over losing the Willow tree but can certainly understand why it must come down. Oh, how I love trees. I always feel sad when one has to come down.

We had some windy weather in the night last week as well. Your scarves are just so beautiful, Claudia. These winter days are perfect for needlework projects, aren’t they?

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
