The Teaching Begins

January 21, 2009 at 1:09 pm by Claudia

Can you tell I am teaching again? My desk is this little table and it seems to have been overtaken by WORK! I had my first classes yesterday. I renewed my acquaintance with the second year students and met for the first time the first year students. So far so good. I have a lot of prep work to do each day as I haven’t taught for a long time. I’m also coaching a play that is in technical/dress rehearsals at night so my schedule is filling up. The busier the better, I think, as it helps ease my homesickness.

On another note, I just found out my Mom had to be hospitalized this morning, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She is currently having tests done, and I hope we can get to the bottom of this mystery. It seems I am far away from all my family at a stressful time.

I hope your Mom is feeling better soon. It is hard being far from family when things like this are happening. But good thoughts and positive energies travel far and wide and will make it to her bedside.

Oh, Claudia, I will keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. It’s so hard, isn’t it? My dad was hospitalized right after Christmas, but was released on New Year’s Eve day. He’s now as good as new after being under some great doctor’s and nurse’s care and taking the medicines needed. I hope your mom is out in no time and feeling winderful, too!

And it certainly does look like you are going to be very busy!! Enjoy your students!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
