In the “How to transform a tchotchke into something functional” category, I give you Exhibit A:
My Eiffel Tower iPhone charging cord holder.
Brilliant, is it not?
Well….not really.
What can I say? I spend too many hours in this chair staring at the piles of books, lined legal pads, magazines, pens and iPhone that clutter up the coffee table. I got a fleeting sense of being in control of the whole situation when I decided to wrap this cord around the Eiffel Tower.
It’s fleeting, mind you.
Now it’s gone.

C’est Manifique! I’m sure that is spelled incorrectly, but you get my drift. I think it works beautifully and if you ever need another purpose for that tower, it could hold rings. Ann
Elaine @ Sunny Simple Life says
Perfect!! Don’t you find that cords and chargers are taking over your life? I am always trying to find ways to hide them.
Muddy Boot Dreams says
I think if it works for you, and it’s cute then go for it. You scored on originality and wit.
It’s cute, and functional, nice to see the Eifel tower put to good use.

I’m laughing, not at you :)
I’ll be on vaca soon. Let’s get together and take a trip to Trader Joes. I’ve been wanting to go there but, no time!!
Have a restful Sunday!

Good for you, my friend. There is so little we can control these days, we may as well start with clutter. No matter how many boxes/trays/baskets I buy to corral “stuff” it all ends up on top of/overflowing/cascading out of said containers. Happy Sunday.

I love the feeling of being in control. Lately it escapes me since we’re in the process of remodeling a house and soon moving in. Everything is in chaos in both houses. Yikes! I’ll be glad to just be in one house and go back to a more regular daily schedule.

You just gave me the giggles! Just moments before I came over to visit you I was looking around noticing all of the wires and connections in our living room. I’m charging the laptop as I type ~ that’s one cord. David is charging both his iphone and his blue tooth. My cell phone is charging away in the office. My itouch is charging in the bedroom. Wires everywhere!! Technology is such a double edge sword ~n’cest pas?

Good idea…Shelley Puppy ate my laptop charging cord last week and replacing it cost $70.00. It was not plugged in at the time which was good. I must be more vigilant about watching him and cords.

Its brilliant! :) lol

…As with all things fleeting. Now you see it, now you don’t. I love your coffee table, you know!

My husband freaks when I try to put his cord in a little box or something to hide and keep it out of the way. He wants it in the plug at all times which totally gets on my nerves. I have an Eiffel Tower here but I doubt he would let me wind the cord around it. Maybe I could wrap it around his neck. Ha! Just kidding! Have a great day. Tammy
Linda @ A La Carte says
Love it! My cords are a mess and I just let them have their way I guess. Still and Eiffel Tower holder might work! Hugs, Linda

Anything that puts you in control has to be good, even if its only of something small and you get to write a great post about it :D
Just catching up here, loved the Scout post :D
Lynn says
Ah! Comedy writing! Tee Hee.
I think you should write a song about it.

Good idea! I better come up with some good ideas pretty fast for the many things that I’ve had sitting around here and are now in a box headed to Goodwill unless they present a convincing argument for keeping them – other than giving me the pleasure of dusting them.

Okay, Claudia. This made me laugh aloud. I love it.♥
Thank you for the birthday wishes. It has all been great.
