Vintage Black Friday

October 23, 2009 at 7:30 am by Claudia

It is Vintage Black Friday. I’m on my way home from Wilmington so I won’t be able to get around to your posts until later in the day. How about some vintage purses/bags?

A little straw clutch bag – given to me by my friend Lynne.

This antique beaded bag was given to me many years ago by my sister, Meredith. It is so lovely – I keep it safely in a dresser drawer. The beading is gorgeous, and the drawstrings have beautiful silver filligree balls.

Have a great Friday!

Just got home and realized that I didn’t say to visit Gypsy Brocante for a list of everyone participating. (I had a bad night – lots of coughing and not much sleep.) But I’m home safely with husband and dogs.

OMG Claudia, LOVE LOVE that bag to pieces!!!!!!!!
And yes, my mini chest of drawers was from IKEA (I purchased that almost 20 years ago, but I think they have it back in stock now).

Those bags are both beautiful! I was at an estate sale last week and they had some beautiful bags but they were way out of my price range!

Love both of the bags. I can’t tell if the clutch is knitted or knotted. The pattern looks similar to a knitted bag I’ve made. The beading is beautiful…what a nice gift. Hope to see ya for Pink Saturday….Sue

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
