Vintage Fabric & Awards

January 21, 2010 at 11:16 pm by Claudia

What is it about fabric and trims that makes them so yummy? I have no idea what I am going to do with these, but I couldn’t pass them up. The linen guest towel has my initial on it so it had to come home with me, the vintage pillow cover had the neatest texture, the fabric at the top of the photo is gorgeous – a nice, heavy weight and there are two yards of it, and the french lace is…well, french lace.

I’ve been remiss in mentioning two awards I have been given. The first is from Debbie. She has 2 blogs, There’s an Angel on my Front Porch and Simply Debbie.

Thank you, Debbie!

The other is from Duchess of Tea at Rose Tea Cottage.

Thank you, Duchess!

Please visit these lovely bloggers. They are simply wonderful women.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Oh what gems you’ve found! I’m such a sucker for old fabrics, especially if their starched, folded and tied with a ribbon. It so general storesy, old school shopping style. That doesn’t make sense, does it? LOL

    Time for sleep :0)

    Claudia-

So nice to have you come play in my garden. Your updated button worked and is now in my scroller. I plan on posting a link as to how I added the scroller over the weekend. It is nice for keeping all the buttons more organized.

Wonderful vintage fabrics and my,oh,my do you have alot of awards. I have to have a serious look around here in your cottage.

Thanks again for updating you button with the code.

I completely understand about “texture” of old fabric, honey. That’s the reason I buy some things but color trumps everything when I’m on a “buying roll”!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
