Winged Critters

August 22, 2014 at 8:56 am by Claudia

Pictures today.

Scout’s under the weather, I’m tired (just 3 more days of antibiotics,) it’s cloudy and sort of rainy outside. Not rainy enough, however – we really need a couple of days of non-stop rain.

I’m going to retreat and read today. I need to lose myself in the pages of a book.

thurs - frittilary

A Great Spangled Frittilary. She was moving rather quickly, so this is the only shot I have.

thurs - hum moth

Hummingbird Moth in action. Those wings move awfully fast.

beetle on butterfly bush

Ah. The dreaded beetle. On my butterfly bush.

The fact is that Scout is hanging in there, but declining, and it’s hard for me to watch and I get very worried. I don’t talk about it very much because she is so deeply embedded in my heart that I simply can’t. I can’t go there. I have to take her with me to Hartford in September and that also worries me.

Send some healing prayers our way, okay?

(New post up on Just Let Me Finish This Page.)

Happy Friday.

Consider it done. Dear God, Claudia has had a lot to cope with this year. Please let her keep her treasured Scoutie for a while longer, and please ease that little girl’s steps along the way. Amen and thank you.

Claudia, know just how you feel about “book-reading” day, I’m going to have one myself today, also. All your dog-owners/lovers can feel what you’re going through with Scout, we share the love with you. The old saying “been there, done that” holds true but never gets easier………but Thank God for our dogs!

Will definitely keep both you and Miss Scout in my prayers. I hope you both feel better and stronger as the weekend progresses. Perhaps if you take some time to read and rest, Scout will stay near by and get some good rest, too. The healing powers of a good rest can’t be ignored…
    Happy reading!!!

I am so very sorry to hear Miss Scout is having some added difficulties. Our aging resident senior citizen canine buddy took a trip to the vet this morning for some anxiety issues. Thank goodness our vet is so very kind and compassionate and offered some advice to assist with these new issues. I hope and pray Scout’s difficulties lessen and her “inner” puppy continues to shine brightly, even if only to be seen in her beautiful eyes :-) Take care of one another and healing healthy vibes being sent to you both~~ Perhaps an indulgent treat is in order for you both…could the antibiotic be wearing you down a tad?

I hope that when her time comes she goes peacefully and that you KNOW that you have done all that you could for her. You and Don are wonderful parents and friends to her. I have tried to keep up with your blog. Mine hasn’t been updated in over a month. Too much to do, too little time to do it in. I hope you are feeling better in no time. Nice bug catches. I haven’t seen any around here really accept the noseemus and they don’t make very good pictures. Have a good weekend.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
