You Are Now Feeling Cold, You are Now Feeling Cold

July 24, 2012 at 9:02 am by Claudia

For those of you struggling with the dry, hot weather that seems to be everywhere this summer:

Gaze into my Necco Snow Globe. Think winter. Think snow and cold temperatures. Think of a wintry, white landscape. Think of shoveling snow…

Er…no. Don’t think about that.

Feel better?

This little scene remains the same as it was when I created it at Christmas. I was going to change it out for summer but Don said that summer might be the perfect time for viewing a snow globe.

Perhaps I need to change the scene to gardens and green things for the winter? Hmmm……

Happy Tuesday.

Love the snow globe, now when the noise subsides around here from the muffler fund taking effect, maybe I can get back to crafting, lol.

We are going through a cold spell, after all the heat, and it’s COLD.

Shivering, damp, no sun, forgot what that feels like, and wondering if it’s better to have the heat.

I live in Texas. I’d take shoveling show anyday over 110 degrees.

Love your blog and my best to your dear sweet ailing puppy.

I think Don has the best idea. Switch it in reverse of the seasons to remind you of what’s coming, honey. Makes sense; hubbies do that sometimes, ya know. ;-)

That’s it! Think about frosty things now, and save the warm and fuzzy for winter. :-)

How fun. I like the scene….not sure it’s helping though. I like the idea of changing it to summer gardens in the winter. Ha!

It’s so funny, I’ve always heard about this idea, but I never thought it would work. I tend to be a bit skeptical. But in editing photos for my latest blog post I was looking at pictures from a cold, rainy fall day, and it did actually make me feel cooler!

I made a similar thing this past Christmas too, Claudia – But it’s up in the attic which is one million degrees, so I will just look at yours… Ann

Ha-ha! No matter how much I think it, we will never have snow. :) Very humid here today. I pretend it is like a sauna, good for the skin. Have a fabulous day. Tammy

I was just thinking we have the whole month of August to go, and half of September, before we can even dream of a cool down here. I need a snow globe.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
