Your Photos, Please?

April 2, 2012 at 10:31 am by Claudia

At the very end of a post last week, I asked a little favor of you. Specifically, I asked those of you who have purchased one of our scarves or shawls from the Etsy shop to have someone take a picture of you wearing it and send it on to me. I think it would be neat to have a post dedicated to all of you who have supported our shop. Since I made that request at the very end of a post, I thought it might be wise to ask you again. Heaven knows, by the end of that post you might have been thinking, “Enough, Claudia, you do run on!’ You might have run away to another blog by that point.

So I’m officially making it again. So far, only the lovely Jennifer has sent in a photo. Thank you, Jennifer!

It’s easy! See, here I am, wearing a scarf from the shop in a picture taken by my husband.

Please?

I’m just about to send off this scarf for Meri:

It’s so pretty in this creamy color. Now, I want one.

I have another idea up my sleeve for the shop and it’s one that I can make when I’m in Hartford. I’ve had so many compliments on this:

So I thought I might start making some for you, in this color combination and in other color combinations.

What do you think?

Happy Monday. I have a whole list of things to accomplish before I leave next Monday and I’d better get to it!

YES YES YES!!!!! a crochet Banner!! in YOUR color (and more colors too of course!)
BTW, did I say YES on the banner??!!!!!
I have debated on scarf colors and the creamy white seems quite perfect for coolish/warmer weather…yummy.
    Have a great day all..

The banner is lovely, Claudia! What a great idea. I can imagine them in white to drape over doorways, or windows and or even as a garland on a Christmas tree! And red ones for Valentine’s Day… and orange ones on Hallowe’en… the possibilities are endless.

Love your photo, Claudia. I had planned to order a scarf from you, but now it is getting warmer. I hope you won’t mind if I wait till the fall. But I do want one of your garlands! I love blues, especially a pale sky blue, or williamsburg blue. Or how about creams and pale yellow.Hey, there are lovely shades of reds and pinks and greens. Well you get the picture! LOL! Looking forward to you vintage finds too!

Claudia, you look beautiful. Your scarves are all wonderful.

I’ve missed visiting, but I’ve been so … busy. All work and no play is making me a dull girl.

I am so sorry Claudia…I know I promised you a pic. I was out of town this weekend and other things on my mind…etc, etc…I know excuses, excuses. I will try very hard to get one in the next day or two. I do really LOVE the wonderful pic of you that your husband took! I bet he is printing that one out and keeping it on his desk or a special place. Hugs, Patti

So pretty! I like your style of scarves and the bunting/banner idea is a great one. I also like the idea of having customers send pics of them wearing the scarves. I tried something similar asking my customers to send me pics of them with their “new” antique but no takers. Maybe you’ll have better luck!

Welcome!

Welcome!

I live in a little cottage in the country with my husband. It's a sweet place, sheltered by old trees and surrounded by gardens. The inside is full of the things we love. I love to write, I love my camera, I love creating, I love gardening. My decorating style is eclectic; full of vintage and a bit of whimsy.

I've worked in the theater for more years than I can count. I'm currently a voice, speech, dialect and text coach freelancing on Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theater.

Thanks for stopping by.
